Smallville Screening and Q&A – Comic-Con favorite Smallville returns, as showrunners Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson join cast members including Smallville's Lois Lane – Erica Durance (House of the Dead) – Justin Hartley (Gemini Division), Cassidy Freeman (Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee) and others (yet to be announced) to talk about the year ahead, answer fan questions and give an exclusive sneak peek at clips from season nine. Award-winning comic book writer, Emmy®-nominated film and television writer/producer, and Smallville alum Jeph Loeb (Heroes) will moderate the session. From Tollin/Robbins Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Smallville will air Fridays at 8:00 p.m. this fall on The CW, premiering September 25. so outside of Cassidy repalcing Allison, it's pretty much what I predicted earlier. This is going to pretty much be the same ole same ole Smallvilel panel, provided they don't drop the "TV Movie" bomb that's being rumored...

when they say "others yet to be announced", they're probably talking about the crew, right? there's no way Tom Welling could be one of the "others" (I'm hoping he is though).

I thought that, too. However, I asked around and I was told that it would not make sense to have Welling be a "surprise guest" to announce a "surprise" movie. That would be unnecessary, as the announcement of the movie would have been surprise enough.
In fact, if there was going to be an announcment of a movie, I was told, you would have Welling announced as a guest, which obviously would get more people to attend the panel. That way, there would be more coverage of the "surprise" movie announcement.
On the other hand, as an example, it would make sense to have Rosenbaum be a surprise guest to announce the movie.
I hope I am explaining it properly.

No, I got what you're saying. It's just a shame that the star of the show can't even make it to the panel. I don't care if he is private, one appearance a year won't kill him.

His shooting schedule foir the show at that time of year doesnt allow it, plus from all past indications, he'd rather be set on fire than do a Con again. did Welling have a bad experience with a Con in the past? I know a lot of people talk **** about the show but they don't have the guts to actually ask the questions they want to ask. Did someone ask him something that pissed him off?

Why even bother? The Cons are used to pulicize shows and build hype for the coming season. The CW has basically sent Smallville to the gallows at this point with the ******ed move to Friday nights.

Let me pull out my crystal ball on this one. Allison, Erica, and Justin will be there, maybe with a new castmember or 2 and maybe even a guest star like Phil Morris, provided of course that they can find the key to the broom closet he seemingly got locked in mid-season. TPTB will stand up there and make vague promises about Clark being more on the "road to becoming Superman" than ever before and hype this as "the biggest season yet." Then they'll spend the rest of the time trying to convince the audience how the move to Fridays is a "good thing" for the show.

And yes, someone DID pee in my cornflakes this morning.

love that cassidy freeman's credit is "finishing the game" (which was made by a couple of friends of mine) when she was in the whole movie for a total of, like, 30 seconds! LOL

I've never even heard of that movie.

Heh. That's okay. It was never a major release. It got a lot of buzz on the festival circuit though. It was directed by Justin "Fast & Furious" Lin before he did "Tokyo Drift."

Basically, it's a mockumentary (think Spinal Tap, Best in Show) about how the studio behind Bruce Lee's "Game of Death" hired a "look alike" to finish the movie after Lee's death. It's pretty funny.

PS, Besides Tess Mercer, "FTG" has even more geek movie cred: Monique Gabriela Curnen (Det Ramirez from "Dark Knight") plays Sung Kang's girlfriend/agent in the movie!

I don't currently - at least, not that I know of. Long, long ago (in a county far, far away) there was minor glory ;-> ...a friend of my dad's was involved with The Dukes of Hazzard (the original one) and we got to see the General Lee in person (but I don't think we ever saw or met Bo or Luke Duke) and tour some behind-the-scenes prop room; around the same time a couple of my cousins had small, goofy parts in goofy comedy movies (one of the Revenge of the Nerds movies and one of the Police Academy movies). In addition to other brief encounters in college & before, I sort-of-met Christopher Reeve's *dad* (he was doing a poetry reading at or near the school) and got CR's autograph (he was in a play). How's that for ancient randomness?

Heard about allison joining the smallville panel, also cool to hear zod is going to be there. Hopefully we get some nice insights on what they are doing with him(hopefully he will be sporting a beard i hope).
