OK can we take the Modern Major General Zod discussion to the spoilers forum and focus on the "major announcement" at SDCC?

Where were there rumors about Welling making an appearance?

They're coming from a girl named "pattylaurie" on IMDB, who apparently happens to be friends with Erica Durance. Here's some of her posts:

"It has been confirmed by a few cast/crew members, who suggest allowances have been made in the shooting schedule suggesting his availablity is almost certain. However keep in mind there are never definitive guarantees concerning these appearances."

well it will be great if tom is indeed there, the major announce i could either see it being that that rumored metropolis tv/dtv movie is actually going to happen, or maybe they will officially announce the season is the end so we the fans know it ahead of time and producers/writers wise they can wrap things up throughout the season. Though if they can pull a good season off i wouldnt mind another since we know majority of the cast are signed for a possible 10th season.

I had planned on going this year, but then I procrastinated and it was too late.

I just don't see Tom being there unless there's something big going on like the Metropolis movie. Wish we had more to go on than a random poster from IMDb of all places. Surprised Harry and Co over AICN haven't followed-up with anything.

I think there's definitely something being announced. My guesses are:
*A Metropolis movie
*A total metamorphosis into a Metropolis-based show as opposed to SV-based. That might be explain the new blu-ray DVD cover actually.

Wish we had more to go on than a random poster from IMDb of all places.

From what I've heard, she's been reliably informative about several Erica-related appearances before. Who knows if Tom will actually consent to appear, even if they do clear his schedule for it?

But, I'm hopeful he will. And I'm dying to know what the big announcement is.
