Back at the food threads I see lol.

I never get food at the movies because of how fattening it is. You ate all 4!!??

 

Movie theatre food is way too fatty. Very occasionally I'll get curly fries if I'm super hungry.

When I go to the movies, it's the one time (usually per week) where I go all out and splurge. I stay disciplined and pretty focused for the entire week on exercise and dieting, but when I get to Sunday (my 'eat anything I want until I'm stuffed and feeling ill' day), I go to extremes. When I hit the theater, usually for an afternoon show, I get a large bucket of popcorn layered with salt and butter, a huge bag of Reeses Pieces, a box of Starburst, a hot dog, nachos and a large soda. I finish ALL of it by the end of the movie and then head home. That evening, I cook a 20 oz steak, cheese potatoes and fried corn and onions and then I chow again until I can't eat another bite. I'll usually end the day with a big bowl of ice cream with all of the toppings.

When I get up on Monday, it's back to the disciplined dieting and exercise ... until the next Sunday. It gives me something to look forward to and I don't really have to pay for it since I don't keep the weight I gained on that day (usually a pound or so).

Ya gotta treat yourself regularly. Otherwise, you're not really living.

 

I just bring my own snacks along in my backpack. Never had a problem.

 

All I ever got was popcorn an' soda, but it's too expensive an' they never put enough butter so I haven't in a while.

 

Tell them you want the butter "layered". What they do is put 1/4 popcorn in, butter it, put another 1/4 in, butter it, etc. You'll have all the butter you can stand then .

Hope so. Next movie I'm plannin' to see's in Binghamton an' they give ya double jumbo-sized tubs as their larges. Be nice to have that swimmin'...

 

That is quite possibly the fattest thing I've heard all month haha. I can't believe they atually do that! lol

 

Movie popcorn gets too stale too fast, ya need that buttery goodness.

I eat before the fact. Thank God for the Chick-fil-a right beside my theater, very handy.

 

me and my gf do exactly the same

we check the movie times, see which movie we're interested in that starts in the next 45 mins/hour, buy the ticket and then head to any nearby fast food joint, eat, light up a ciggarrette and head back to the theatre

sit back and enjoy the movie

 

I used to go to the movies and buy an extra soda (usually a small) and spill it on the seat next to me so no one sat there

 

I hate eating while watching a movie and this has been the reason for several fights between me and my girlfriend. She will buy the popcorn and expect me to eat Its all her fault really

All this talk of yummy fatty food is making me so hungry! I have a stomach virus so I haven't been able to eat for 2 days
