Glad to see this is actually going ahead.

Derrickson doing the pilot, the Sarah Connor Chronicles guy writing, the Falling Skies company making it, and Connelly?

Sounds like a pretty "hell yeah" combination to me. Do we know anything about it in relation to the movie? Like is this a prequel or whatever, or just a sort of loose re-telling of the same events with different characters?

Looks like an entirely new cast of characters. Outside of soldiers and guards, this guy is the only one with any kind of rank.

Ah, cool, he's one of those "that guy" actors that shows up in a bunch of stuff in similar types of roles. Usually pretty decent.

I guess Connelly aside it's more the writers/producers that have me pretty optimistic about this than the cast. Sarah Connor Chronicles is really frickin' underrated, and Falling Skies was pretty solid throughout. If it has a comparable budget to Falling Skies, and with Derrickson doing the premiere, it's probably going to look really good too.
