people also forgot the "maximum security" (or something) mini-series where a "council" of alien leadership decided that Earth should be a prison-planet for intergalactic maniacs.. you see grains of SWORD here as well as a short-lived "space avengers" team.. USAgent had quite a prominent role, ironically..

The problem with Maximum Security is that we already had enough intergalactic maniacs that just needed a ship to get away. They dumped more and they were just begging to get beat.

Earth has pissed off the embodiments of concepts of the universe that should by all rights have the power just to destroy the earth with a wave of the hand. How many people have got the infinity gauntlet to work who were from earth originally anyway? I can only think of Reed Richards and Adam Warlock.
