Congratulations, R-9! I've never had a dog like that but all puppies are cute as hell! Good luck with your new pet and I hope he/she brings you lot of joy. :)

Cocker Spaniels are only outdone in their uselessness by poodles and chihuahuas.

They're good family dogs, but the males can be pretty damn aggressive with kids and strangers. Particularly if they aren't neutered. Like any dog, spend a good amount of time working with it on behaviors and obediance training and all should be well. Congrats on the new pup.

What have you named him and I assumed he's not house-broken yet? I have a friend who has a cocker spaniel and she's adorable. I'm sure yours is too. Any picture of the little guy?

Digital pics? If so you should be able to upload directly from the source with the right leads. Otherwise you can scan any non digital pics to a computer if you can find anyone/anywhere (eg library/work/school) with a scanner.

COCKER SPANIELS ARE GREAT

WITH BBQ SAUCE. :yellow:

An easy way to make dogs more docile is to pet them when they are eating.

Rubbing your dogs nose in their crap and piss is the worst way to train a pupp.
All you have to do is take them outside a few minutes after they finish eating and drinking.
They will get used to going outside and will automatically not go in the house.

For puppies it only takes about 5-10minutes before their food and drink passes through.
You just have to be patient.

Doesnt matter what type of dog you have.
Though inbred dogs usually take longer to learn and understand their owners' behaviour.
