So i missed one court date

and now i have to pay $213 in child suport. Well i can't pay that so now i have to go down to the Hennenpen county court building to get it back down to where it was before, which means i have to set up a new hearing date and hopefully i can get them to change it or i am screwed.

i am no dead beat, i pay $300 a mouth for her Insurance, that is why i didn't have to pay more in the first place and i take her every other weekend. the reason that i missed the court hearing was because at the time i worked nights and i had forgoten about the hearing and slept thougth it because i got home that morning.

You should have contacted the courts in advance to re-arrange a meeting. I know a slip of the mind occurs but you have take some responsibility (I'm not referring to your child of course) when it comes to these affairs. Anyhow, yeah, the extra billing sucks but what can you do?

My uncle couldn't afford his child support for like, i don't know two or three years, so his ex-wife had him thrown in jail and he worked in the kitchen for something like $135/day, which goes directly to his unpaid child support...so there is a way to pay off those debts...i just wouldn't recommend that one!

I am confused. You normally pay monthly child support but for missing the court date (for what again? the meeting not why you mised it) you have to pay an additional fee? I'm assuming there is no way to amicably resolve this with the missus?
