I've at least seen this film 6-8 times, I love this film, I end up watching it every couple of months. Upon watching it, I have only two complaints... Kim Geist's performance as Jill Layton and how slow the film gets after the first hour. Apparently Terry Gilliam wasn't all that impress with Geist either since I read in IMDB.com trivia section he cut out a lot of her scenes. I love everything about this film, every line has some sort of double meaning, every piece of scenery is saying something about society. I love all the dream sequence, especially the flying, the flying sequences are just beautiful, and there's no CGI to be found.

I love what Gilliam does with all the characters. Especially Jack, I love how a torturer is just some average joe family man, that's great. I like how Sam slowly loses his grip on reality and how everything spirals out of control. I love the extreme close-ups and angles. I love the decor of the film and that film noirish look that it adopts. Simply put this film is amazing! Next film to review from my collection SEVEN SAMURAI!!!

I think it's a good film but I get tired of even thinking about watching it again, there are so much things to take in.

I saw it again some day ago, because I was planning to attend a meeting with Gilliam (I couldn't make it. It was sold-out). It's still one of my favorite movies, and Burton was evidently inspired by it when he made his Batman movies.
I agree on the Griest performance, but even the worst performance would have been obscured by the great sets and camera work.

I've never cared too much for Terry Gilliam's style. He's gifted and good at what he does. It's just not my style.

There needs to be another review thread like the one in the summer.
