It was this Gamespot event and kind of convention for those who don't know. For a free event it was pretty sweet. Got to play Justice League Heroes, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Project Gotham 3, Full Auto on the PS3, Mortal Kombat: Armagedon and Splinter Cell: Double Agent. But by and far, the best playable demo was Lost Planet. I totally raped the second time I played it. :woot:

Anyways, for stage demos, Bioshock looks amazing. Its bizarre and beatiful at the same time. The Darkness was alright, but there were so many bugs it made me wonder why they brought it.

PS3 had a disappointing showing, the build for Gundam was incredibly bad. Unresponsive, choppy and full of pop ups. Full Auto was basically Twisted Metal without the personality and Ridge Racer was pretty much just like every other RR game.

Just wanted to share. :woot:

How's M:UA and SC: DA?
MUA was pretty much what I expected. A shiny sequel to XML. Surprisingly Spidey had a bit of a learning curve. Those web bullets were incredibly weak. By far, Dr.Strange was the best character. He took out Grey Gargoyle so fast, its not even funny. It almost felt cheap because all the other characters had such a hard time. Silver Surfer was fun to play as though. Wolverine, Iron Man and Iceman are exactly the same as they were in XML 2. Thor's attacks were decent, but I'm betting he'll be a lot stronger as the game goes on.

I wouldn't say I'm disappointed. Its just that charge attacks are the only new thing in the series. Mind you I didnt get a chance to play it as much as I did JLH (Snowblind brought 6 games, while Raven only brought 1 :o ), but I got at least half an hour in. I wish I got a chance to play as the F4.

Woops. SC: DA was pretty good. It wasnt anything particularly different from the previous series, but I didnt get a long chance to play it. Basically there was a multiplayer game going on, I think it was 4 people, and we were in an apartment complex with the lights out. It was intense.

Damn you good Sir, damn you :(

Since I got a couple PMs about MUA and Darkness, I'll just answer here.

MUA really just XML with slicker and shinnier graphics. So if you liked those two games, you'll like this one. Personally, I'm going to wait, stickly because next to nothing has changed in the forumla and because I'm not a fan of the majority of the roster choices.

I'd say its a better game than JLH, but thats because JLH had a certain blandness about it. Again, anyone who wasnt WW, Flash, Hawkgirl or Zatanna, PERSONALLY, felt dull. Superman and Batman, in my opinion, need more work and yes, I did play the final build.

As for the Darkness, the first part was basic rail shooter and the following level had mutliple graphic glitches, particularly when shooting. The actual goblins and snake things (dont read the book so I dont know their names) were fine and looked fun to utilize.

Oh and it was at a hidden location (Pier 27) in San Francisco. And the swag included exclusive Darkness and JLA comics, a whole lot of free gum, a scion CD and a JLH poster.
