"From the best-selling fantasy series....from the imagination of xxxxx........comes an epic tale of one boy, who learned he had the power...to xxxxxxx" and all that sh**.

That's pretty much how they've always been, though, as far back as I can remember. Either the lame-ass intermittent text or the same raspy voice.

Let me be more specific.

Films based on fantasy book series', usually featuring some wide-eyed little kid and some veteran actor chewing the scenery as their Gandalf/Obi-Wan esque mentor.

The ones that do my head in are

"From the producers that brought you...."

They bought **** all but the money for the writter and the director to do the film.

Might as well say

"From the same guy that brought coffee for the director who didnt want to do this film comes...."

Well, a producer can definitely shape how a film is made, so let's not ack like all the producer does is front the cash. The fact that they're fronting the case is EXACTLY why a film can be shaped by any input they offer. We wouldn't care who guys like Jerry Bruckheimer or Joel Silver were if they didn't have some influence on how a film ends up on the screen.

I've always believed that Bruckheimer has a way bigger role in the movies he produces than most people realize.

And the boy or girl is always an outcast. Always. But most fantasy books use this scheme.

And he will change his destiny, which will be revealed, and save a world hundreds of years in the making. Or some **** like that.

I hate most fantasy films, the only ones that are worth anything to me are the LOTR's films.

But i really dont care about those 2 ;) haha

But you see what i mean, the average joe really wouldnt give a crap who produced it. so they just big anyone up on the trailer they think might get more people to go

So the issue is with fantasy films, not with the way film trailers are made? Interesting title for the thread then...
