You ever sometimes look at your friends and no matter how much you love or care about them, you find yourself saying "why do I hang out with these guys" ?

Nope. Never done that. Not seriously.

pretty much all the time :-/ Not to much my friends, but more the friends my wife makes us hang out with as a couple.

Every freaking day :D

Maybe if you suffer from Hank Hill syndrome. His three friends are nothing like him. I try to chil with people I know have the same interests. Some guys here at work constantly try to get me to go out with them, but we just don't do the same ****, is all. I like to, as we all know, do jazz clubs, gentleman's clubs(that's right), video games(Dave and Buster's or Gameworks), car/import shows, etc. Most dudes here are like, "let's hit the bar or let's hit the nightclub!"

I've got a few long time friends that, frankly, I've kind of grown apart from. I've moved on to new things in life (i.e. matured) and they're still playing drinking games from college well into a decade after we've all graduated. Not a lot in common anymore but the good times we had way back when. I still catch a movie with them now and again or we do BBQ's but mostly we don't get together much .

I do alot, in all honesty. Mostly because I think they don't care about me as much as I do them.

See, I could hang with Terry. As long as we threw a good blues club in there now and again.

I think you described a lot of people's friend situations. It's normal to grow apart from people yet still remain loyal to each other. I actually just got off the phone with my "best friend" who wants me to go a blues jam tonight. In the past few years our interests have changed considerably but we still find things to talk about.

Yeah, it's a normal part of life, really. I've got "friends" who were absolutely my tightest, closest friends in college. Inseparable. Now, I never talk to them unless I happen to bump into them someplace in town. We have the whole "Hey, it's great to see you!" and catch up for a few minutes before we go our separate ways moment, but that's about the extent of it. Not much in common anymore. I still have some close friends that I've had since back in the day that seem to have evolved along the same trajectory as me, so we still have lots in common, and some newer friends that fit that bill. Life marches on.

Sometimes, yeah. We get along but we dont always have a lot in common. They go on about computers and sports, two things that I have zero interest in. But at the same time, they are intelligent people that have interesting things to say about the world, when I ask them. So I keep em anyway. :cwink:

They're ok. I like the booze, dancing girls and music but I dont need to go out to the club very often. All of that noise can get old real quick.

I'm anti-social living in a social world... Like I have plenty of friends but really because I'm suppose to, and if I didn't everyone would think I'm wierd otherwise. To me, people is people, what is difference between one person and another other than there knowledge of the world and there likes/dislikes. I tend to like people more knowledgable of the world, in the sense that they realize, how miniscule they are compare to everything else and there only objective is to live a happy and full ife... I mean once you find common ground to talk to somebody on... Well does it really make a difference how many friends you have? I've seem to have accumulated quite a bit due to college and highschool, so if I feel like going up I give people a ring... But damn... I'd rather just shut up shop and just write, work, etc... Like I said I'm anti-social living in a social world...

Haha! I've gotten laid from frequenting book stores, coffee shops and concerts far more than I ever have at a night club.

well I dont really have time to frequent book stores and coffee shops and ****, so I just go to the club on weekends, its more fast paced. And sometimes, it seems all I have to do is pull up in front of the club in my bad ass mustang, bumping "party like a rock star" and next thing I know Ive got hoes in bikinis climbing all over my car...

(thats me in the white shirt!... i look kinda fat cause it was windy that night)

Let me guess. Strip club? Make sure you give her a fiver for climbing all over the hood of your car. :)
