So, ummm...Rob Liefeld's art vs. Jeph Loeb's writing?

Seriously, lets say your life depended on it. God, or some omnipotent force who can alter reality, tells you that for the rest of all time, either all comics are to be drawn by Liefeld, OR all comics are to be written by Loeb. You can't get out of this. Which do you pick? WHICH WILL HAVE THE LESSER NEGATIVE EFFECT???

And to make the decision easier/harder/to torment you further, here are some examples of WHAT you have to choose from...

I know I'm probably in the minority but I happen to think Loeb is still something of a decent writer, Liefeld tho............words cant describe the horror that is his artwork

I agree with fifthfiend. I can overlook poor art if the writing is great. I can't overlook poor writing even if the artwork is great, though.

I enjoyed TLH and DV by Loeb. But yea... that's about it. His Rulk and Ultimates 3 were beyond awful. And Hush is a load of garbage too.

I don't know much about his recent stuff but...this is seriously a question? You have Liefeld who has never made anything good... and then you have Loeb who has written The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Superman for all Seasons, Daredevil: Yellow, Spiderman: Blue, Hulk: Grey and you guys choose Loeb? Like I said, I haven't read Loeb's recent stuff but my god, comparing the two seems beyond stupid.

Loeb was once a great writer and could be a great writer again. Liefeld hasn't got any hope. I'd rather go with Loeb.

Well.... Im not that found of either really.. lienfield has his moments, but most of the time his preportions are just silly. and Loeb is good with non-cannon stuff, and I personally enjoyed Hush.

So I would say it depends on what each is doing.. but yeah most of the time Lienfield's art is'nt all that... and Loeb's writing on Ultimates3, Ultimatium & the Hulk was just plane BAD!

but meh, no ones perfect. Still though..MARVEL, NEVER GIVE JEFF LOEB A HULK BOOK EVER AGAIN!!!

Both SUCK! Loeb because of Redhulk and Liefeld cause he stinks as an artist!

Yes, but only after Jeph's run. Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle were amazing with her. That said, I'd take Jeph's writing. We know he CAN be good (Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Spider-Man Blue, Daredevil Yellow) Liefeld is ****e no matter what.

While Liefeld has put out stuff that doesn't want to make me gouge out my eyes, it still doesn't change the fact that he still sucks. Loeb on the other hand, has at least put out good comics.

yeah it's already been said but Loed has written good comics, Liefelds art has always sucked. ALWAYS!

Loeb has written some good stories and inspired one of the greatest comics stories ever written, "Must there be a Superman?", while Liefeld is, well, Liefeld.

Loeb wrote The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, and Spider-man: Blue. Hush had its issues but it wasn't that bad. I liked the three I listed, and I bet his other color series with Tim Sale for Marvel are at least halfway decent. He sucks big time now, but at least he's had something good. I can't think of anything decent Liefeld has drawn.
