    I mean besides LXG.

I'm thinking Power Pack, Yeah I know it was a lame comic but it could easily be adapted to appeal to the teens and tweens market.

What about a Punisher TV show?

For DC maybe a Constantine TV show...

    Any thoughts?

I could definitely see a live action X-Men show happening, or even Spider-Man. Marvel should keep that in mind when the movies finish!

Punisher, Batman, Question, some of the cheaper to make heroes. The shows would be character driven and comic based not cheap cgi and teen angst.

  4. I really like Smallville but I've always thought that it was heavily inspired by the original Spider-man comics. Someday they could make a good Spider-man series based on the early comics with a teenage Spider-man and characters like Flash Thompson, Liz Allen, etc. Also there could be mechanical webshooters. But the movies will rule for a good many years. :spidey:

The problem I had with Smallville is when it started to bring in all the characters from the Superman stories, like bringing in Lois Lane it really wasn't necessary.

Also the fact that so many of the villians he was dealing with gained powers from the kryptonite fragments it was like every episode was just some other kid with new superpowers. That's why I got bored with it stopped watching and never really got back into again.

Spiderman would be better, because in a larger city there is more to play with in terms of villains and each one doesn't have to get his powers the same way.

Doom Patrol would make an incredible show, as would The Question.

    The Question:

Basically, the character aproach should be "Hunter S. Thompson meets The Shadow." A rude, opiniative, cynical reporter who causes trouble for the sake of getting to the truth by day, a rude, opiniative, cynical vigilante who beats up mobsters by night. Should be a very dark crime drama, the likes of Law and Order and CSI. My preferd cast:

The Question: Nathan Fillion (of course, if Firefly comes back in any real capacity, then I'd change my choice. Too big of a browncoat to say otherwise)

    Mia Fermin: Rachel Weisz

    Ixxy O'Toole: Alec Baldwin

    Reverend Jeremiah Hatch: Kelsey Grammar

Professor Aristotle "Tot" Rodor: Donald Sutherland

    Richard Dragon: David Carradine

Of course, along with the standard criminal scum, low level DC villains and what few villains that showed up in the Charlton years should make apearances.

    Suicide Squad:

Violence and government espionoge encarnate. This is the show where the good guys aren't good guys. Just the nicer bad guys. Cast:

    Bronze Tiger: J. Augustus Phillips

    Count Vertigo: James Marsters

    Rick Flagg: Adam Baldwin

    Amanda Waller: CCH Pounder

    Killer Frost: Eliza Dushku

    Deadshot: Micheal Rosenbaum

    Parasite: Alan Tudyk

    Plastique: Juliet Landau

(Christ, I've been noticing alot that many of the voice actors from the DCAU could easily play the characters live action. And, looking at that cast, I realize how much of a geek cast that is. All of the actors are either from Joss Whedon shows, voiced on JLU, or both. But hey, them's the shows I watch.)

    Super Buddies:

This would be a perfect animated series on Adult Swim. Former (and by foirmer I mean fired) Justice League members forming a private detective agency. Voice cast:

    Maxwell Lord: Jason Bateman

    Blue Beetle: Ben Stiller

    Booster Gold: Owen Wilson

    Guy Gardner: Jack Black

    Mary Marvel: Amanda Bynes

    Elongated Man: Mark Hamill

    Sue Dibney: Morena Bacarin

    Fire: Maria Canals

That's quite a cast for a tv show.

You mean Super Buddies? Well, that'd be animated, so it's just voice cast.

As for Suicide Squad, even I'm starting to cringe at the sheer geekyness of the cast. :O

^ I've been sayin' it for months, Anson Mount for The Question. Seriously, he'd be that damn a good choice. Not that I have anything against Fillion of course, in fact he'd be the best for the show AND and movie.:up: Why isn't that no one sees these things?

As for the question of this thread, my shows would be.....

    The Flash! :o:)
    Zatanna
    Martian Manhunter

The Flash would be about just him figuring out his speed, and adding a bit of comedy to the show. Have him travel the world, you know use it to his advantage. Even have him face of against some rouges from the comics, which would've been so cool. :(

Zatanna is one I see being the next "Charmed." It'll be about her finded about her gift one day at school, while saying a word backrounds for the first time by accident. While doing that, she accidently turns a classmate of hers into a frog, then pick of the show from there when she continues to train herself.

    Looc.

Martian Manhunter would be a bout a teenaged kid who actually has no idea he's really an alien. It's soon after that he learns he can transform into one, which would be totally awesome if you think about it.

Except, well written and not cheesy, right?

Umm, Zatanna always knew about her powers. Her father was the one who taught her how to use them in the first place. And, she can't do magic by accident when saying something backwards. She doesn't even need to say the words backwards. She's a high level reality manipulator, and saying words backwards is just her way of concentraiting on the change she desires to make. It's her mantra.

Most def, I don't want it to be really cheesy looking. I'm talking some serious magic use, her going against wizards and other magicians. Seriously, I think it could work out well. I'd have Megan Fox play her.

She's 19, which is perfect. Plus she actually knows how to act...

......Um dude, I was talking about for the SHOW. :o [IMG]

What did you think about my Martian Manhunter idea?

    I could see it.

Well, personally, I think the comic explanation makes more sense. Besides, I'd actually rather see Zatanna being in her 40s (but still rather hot). Mainly so we can flashback to her youth in 80s London when she went through a punk rocker phase and dated Joh Constantine.

    Well......

Bad. Very very bad. That has absolutely nothing to do with Martian Manhunter. J'onn is an adult, and never thought he was a human.

Totally, I'm thinking about calling the CW myself. :o

I'd have no problem with her knowing her powers, I just thought I'd make it more like Mery Reef where A.C. finds out abour his under water powers. Just with her, she's inherit her father's gift which she later finds out only cause he doesn't want her growing up to be like him. But if she DOES know, it could also make an awesome story. Not to mention keeping it secret to herself and using them to fight evil. But I would have her that old, maybe in her 20's as a school teacher of something. :)

    ......

Ok, so me becoming a writer is def not in my future. [IMG]

Well, I'm glad you were honest man. Cause I'm actually developing my own script for a film and a show. When it comes to the shows, I'm not making them exactly like their counterparts in the comics. Just taking those elements and converting it into something new. I think it would've been interesting to see him act like we human beings, then later finding out he's actually a green skinned alien. But you're right, he does know he's one. So instead of that idea, he'll already BE and alien but use his shapshifting powers to become a human and adapt to out world. Which if you think about could make a kick ass storyline if done right. I'd make him around 28.

Why a school teahcer? Why not a stage magician who runs into and fights demons on the side?

Well, age really doesn't matter, since he can look however old he wants. I'd rather he be in his forties (or even a good deal older), but he simply adapts a more youthful form most of the time.

Ok, you got me there. That's way better, only because she could do house shows like in the comics and be a part time demon slayer as well. Damn this show needs to happen!

    Atleast I'd watch it......

That's true, considering all she has to do is shout out "82" and she becomes 28. I'd have her around 34 tops.

I thought we were talking about Martian Manhunter's age.
