So what's the difference between the DVD's? (No spoilers)

I'm only creating a separate thread because all the others are littered with spoilers about deleted scenes, alternate endings, and all the other bonuses on the disc. And I'm sure I'm the minority here, but I want to be surprised and excited to get the new disc.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out if I need to get the collectors edition. Is there no actual extra footage on the disc? Does it just come with a Stan Lee comic? What is the benefit of getting the collectors edition?

The R1 collectors edition is EXACTLY the same as the R1 standard edition except you get a free Stan Lee comic and different packaging. R1 don't get a 2 disc release so you don't get any extra footage. I think you get 10 deleted scenes, I'm not sure which ones.

The R1 disc has 21 deleted scenes and three alternate endings, as well as two commentaries. The collector's edition shoves the R1 regular edition into a slipsleeve, and slides in a comic, which contains 3 reprints from Lee's run, as well as an original comedic story from Lee. t:

Makes sense that R1 get all deleted scenes actually, R1 get the same disc 1 as R2 so the deleted scenes are spread across The Brotherhood and X-Men menus.

Correct: It's the same packaging, but inside a slipcase. Oh, and the back of the package just says "deleted scenes"; it doesn't specify how many.

The straight answer to the question is in post 3. I don't know why Fox is running commercials that say 10 if the DVD actually has 21, although I've seen a lot more spots that mention just the 3 alternate endings.

No it would not. It's already been said that the back of the DVD does not specify the content of the deleted scenes. And secondly, I'm purchasing the DVD on my work break, and I do not have time to be comparing and contrasting two DVD's at the store. I need to know the content so I can run to the store, grab it, and leave.

So I've already seen two different types of special DVD's. One at Target and one at Wal-Mart. God, which one should I get it?
