Wasn't it supposed to be a weekly series to begin with? That's as laughable now as it was then.
Was it? I can't see them figuring how to pull that off.
Onslaught sucks, more powerful does not a better story make.
Come on guys, Liefeld is just brushing up on his anatomy to make the book better.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I remember reading that this was going to be a weekly a series, but the heavy Civil War tie-ins pushed it back. But CW is over...so where is it?
Onslught still remains the last good Marvel crossover, though.
I'm in the opposite camp. I actually liked Civil War but I hated Onslaught and House of M. I like stories centered around concepts, ideas and humanistic struggles not the whole "this is more power than we've ever fought before. Call in everyone and let's keep punching it till we win" or "take a look at what might have happened (don't we have What if? for this?)" those stories just seem rigged to rob me.
Fair enough. I liked the Onslaught crossover mainly because the characterization of the characters involved was left intact and the tie ins actually made sense. The storyline that followed (Heroes Reborn) was pretty crappy, though.
Horrible, shiny things are not necessarily better.
WHY IS MARVEL STILL GIVING LIEFELD PROJECTS???!!!
just commenting on the "Imaging" of marvel's heroes after onslaught or what I like to call the big muscles and shiney things era where I couldn't stomach anything but indie comics.
I don't know, I thought Jim Lee's FF looked pretty good. Not as good as Davis and Pacheco and Larroca's FF looked back in the "real" Marvel world, but good nonetheless. Michael Ryan's HR Avengers wasn't terrible, either. The only HR looks I really couldn't stand were Whilce Portacio's Iron Man and Rob Liefeld's... well, everything, but especially his Thor.
