Is it cancelled? I wasn't reading it, but it seems odd that it apparently shipped 3 issues and then stopped.

Liefled is lazy and won't finish, like many other projects he has done that were never finsihed.

Either that or is sucked so bad it imploded on itself forming a tiny singularity.

No. Come on, guys. Obviously the reason it's delayed is because Liefeld needs more time to ensure that he's giving us only his absolute best work. How would you feel if an artist of Liefeld's calibre just half-assed it to make his deadline? :whatever:

Good riddance to bad rubbish. I don't remember if all proceeds were going to a fund or if it was just the first issue but if it wasn't even economically sound to do it for charity then you have to wonder how good it was.

was anyone even reading it? what were sales for issue #3?

You seem to forget that I've always been bitter. I just haven't had that many sugary libations to counter it today.

Wasn't it supposed to be a weekly series to begin with? That's as laughable now as it was then.

Was it? I can't see them figuring how to pull that off.

Onslaught sucks, more powerful does not a better story make.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I remember reading that this was going to be a weekly a series, but the heavy Civil War tie-ins pushed it back. But CW is over...so where is it?

Onslught still remains the last good Marvel crossover, though.

Come on guys, Liefeld is just brushing up on his anatomy to make the book better.

I'm in the opposite camp. I actually liked Civil War but I hated Onslaught and House of M. I like stories centered around concepts, ideas and humanistic struggles not the whole "this is more power than we've ever fought before. Call in everyone and let's keep punching it till we win" or "take a look at what might have happened (don't we have What if? for this?)" those stories just seem rigged to rob me.

Fair enough. I liked the Onslaught crossover mainly because the characterization of the characters involved was left intact and the tie ins actually made sense. The storyline that followed (Heroes Reborn) was pretty crappy, though.

Horrible, shiny things are not necessarily better.

just commenting on the "Imaging" of marvel's heroes after onslaught or what I like to call the big muscles and shiney things era where I couldn't stomach anything but indie comics.

Ah. In that case, I agree.

I don't know, I thought Jim Lee's FF looked pretty good. Not as good as Davis and Pacheco and Larroca's FF looked back in the "real" Marvel world, but good nonetheless. Michael Ryan's HR Avengers wasn't terrible, either. The only HR looks I really couldn't stand were Whilce Portacio's Iron Man and Rob Liefeld's... well, everything, but especially his Thor.

Larrocca's FF got bad real fast, though. And from what I remember, Ryan's HR: Avengers work was pretty cool. I think I have issue with the Surfer rigged with Cap's shield and Thor's hammer...

I didn't read much of Larroca's FF, to be honest. I wanted to so that I could understand where the hell Valeria came from, but I never got around to it.

Michael Ryan's an unsung hero in Marvel's comics, I've noticed. The guy's great at pretty much everything, yet he kept getting bit comics like New Excalibur until Runaways came along. I hope he starts pulling in some more high-profile work after Runaways.
