    I see.

Oh don't mind me and my former signature, I'm just a grouch who's only happy when he's annoyed about something. :cwink:

Yep. So, how about that Supes/Wonder Woman pairing?

You'll notice that Lois Lane is only a "b****" when she's doing her job as a journalist. Lois Lane the woman is far from a b****, though she does have a little attitude to her. It's a distinction that's worth noting and gives her a depth most female comic book characters don't have.

Not to keep derailing the thread, but it's also very true that Lois has not always been written well, and for whatever reason some of the old stereotypes about her persist. I personally harbor nothing against Lois, it's just that some incarnations of her have been better than others.

So, one of the reasons I've seen cited for not liking the Superman/Wonder Woman pairing is that they "dehumanize" each other. I don't really agree with that myself, that suggests that by themselves they already lack humanity to begin with.

Superman and Wonder Woman was weird for me. I wanted to like it, but there was something missing. I don't know.

I guess it's because Superman was more Superman than he was Clark Kent and that's when you start losing me.

The great thing about Superman to me is the duality. He's an omnipotent alien from a ridiculously advanced civilization and he's a Kansas farmboy living in the big city -- at the same time.

You don't know how satisfying it was to see Clark just being himself in Jurgen's Lois & Clark and Tomasi's and Gleason's Superman.

It was a nice detour, but at the end of the day Lois is IT for Clark, it's been like that since Action #1.
I would like the writers to explore how Diana feels about seeing another Superman (who is remarkably similar to the man she loved) just being out there with a wife and family. Lots of emotional angles that the new "trinity" title can explore.

I did and still do. And imo, she'll always be a better match for Clark than Lois.
