Dark Souls. It's not going to win, but **** it is probably my favorite game this gen. An incredibly intricate open world with great atmosphere and a real sense of being completely alone, hidden behind a tough but fair level of challenge. True rewarding gameplay. I played through it several times (on two platforms) and S-Ranked it.

We should have had Skyrim and Morrowind just go at it already to get that over with.

I'm really torn on this one. I've often said that Morrowind is my favorite game of all time, but Dark Souls (and its predecessor) is such a breath of fresh air compared to everything else this gen.
