I'm looking to get custom socks made. You know the one's...anyway. There is a place online that'll do it, but they only sell large orders. so i would need to buy 120 pairs. if anyone is willing to throw in money, we can start a paypal fund that will work it's way up to the goal. $20 would get you 3 pairs shipped. after the account reached it's goal i would order the socks, and after 3-4 weeks i would get them and personally ship them out to those who ordered. i know it sounds ridiculous. but it would be awesome to have a couple pairs of these socks. so if anyone is interested, say so, and if i get a dozen or so people involved, we'll be well on our way to getting some J socks. it will be an insane collector's item, and by the time the movie comes out, you could probably sell a pair on ebay for a nice chunk and still have 2 pairs for urself. i'd like to wear them to a screening and show em off.

yeah. i mean, if it wasn't quite right that would suck. but it's 4 rectangles on either side of the sock. 4 colors. i think they'd get it pretty right. but there appears to be no takers.

I would do it, but we arent even sure how the whole sock looks.

We have only seen above his ankle, the sock could be different where his shoe is covering.

this is true, but i doubt it. i'm of the assumption that it is covered in rectangles. and i somehow doubt we'll see him shoeless in the movie. although it would be funny to see him throw his shoe at someone out of frustration. i want this thread to stay open so that perhaps in a few months, we'll have enough people. let's say you, darkknightfan, and i put money in. maybe you are willing to put 20 in. i am willing to put 40 in. that's. 60. a little less than a tenth of the way there. we would either need about 30 people with 20 bucks, or we would need under 30 with people willing to pay more. i dont see it happening, but i wish it would. because those socks would be kickass. or if i could just find socks just like it somewhere else...that would be even better.

unfortunately, as i posted above, it would take like 4 weeks to produce them. so unfortunately, there's no way we'll have enough people by then. i assume it's for a halloween party or costume contest. that would be cool. but it won't happen. sorry.

yeah...in my extensive search for the joker socks, i can across those. they really aren't the same thing. like, not at all. i mean, if you just want wild lookin colorful socks, those will do. but they aren't the real deal.

Might have to color in some squares with black though.

But they are the closest I've seen!

yeah, but i don't have a couple hundred to waste on socks. if i recall correctly it was going to be something like 600-700 bucks. and then the shipping. so i'd have to charge everyone a little more than 600/120 for each pair. because the original shipping + the shipping out to each person who chipped in.

i'm still willing to do it. all depends though. i had some one offer to pay 200 and that still wouldn't get us close to the mark. we'd still be at least 200 behind. so it's not likely this will happen.

i think your best bet, if you really want them (and this is something i'm going to try to do) is to buy the fabric, for the various colors. and then buy a pattern for making your own socks. and then cutting out the squares and then sewing the socks yourself. it would only run you a few bucks, and you can buy enough fabric to make a few pairs (because you generally have to buy fabric by the yard [or meter for those of you on the metric system]).

i will probably try this in the next couple weeks and let you know how it goes. if i do a decent job, maybe i'll make a few and sell them myself =D

i will. im gonna try and make these bastards sometime in the new year. hopefully before february. i gotta find the best possible fabric. something that stretches. we'll see. i also gotta find a good sock pattern. i think it's possible. and i'm willing to try it

Yea Thats what I had to do for my joker vest. I spend weeks looking for it and after no results I just bought a vest pattern and made my own. I took me about 5 hours to make and it didnt come out too bad.
