Not going to rack my brain to try and conjure up old gaming memories atm. Later on I'll probably think of more, but -

Suikoden 2. Of course there were multiple endings, but completing everything and getting the best ending....just one of the few RPG's that neatly rapped everything up. You got to see the main characters actually choose a new path. Where usually RPG's have the main characters go, "Good job all, looks like a brighter day, mushy jibberish" then the screen goes to black before you get a clear sense of what's going to happen to the characters you invested time in.

Half joking on this one, but Altred Beast for Genesis...nothing like kicking the ass of the credits .

Valkyria Chronicles. It did pretty much what I expected it to do, but it did it well. See my above Suikoden comment about showing a proper ending for main characters vs. the usual vague RPG endings.
