The Dark Knight Some Possible Joker Info.

WB needs to release a Joker picture soon. Miranda, I remember about 2 and a half weeks ago you mentioned that a Joker pic could be coming in about 3 weeks (i remember calculating it to around mid-May). Any news on that front? Still think it's coming?

Yes, I think so. I really can't say exactly when, though. All I really know is that there was some publicity shots taken this week sometime and that we should look for something to surface this month.

Miranda, I'd rather get my news from you, sweet ass, than the out and out tool that runs BOF...

Did you just call her a sweet ass?

Damn thats offensive, someone is pending for a bending

I think we all need a little less yelling and hating, and a little more hugging and loving.

i've been in lurk mode because of the lack of news.

i think this topic has come about from lack of news.

bof and shh have had diddly squat to talk about since filming started in england.

this is bs, and only bs.

maybe he used the wrong make up which turns out to be permanent clown white, lol

You see what he had to work with, his nerves were completely severed :woot:

Okay, I've held my tongue long enough.
Miranda is a great sleuth when it comes to TDK information and an even nicer poster. She is genuinely nice and friendly to all posters and her posts are fun to read. SO ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE'S.
The borderline misogynistic swinging that follows any post Miranda makes is getting more than a tad annoying. She is a smart woman who loves Batman, boys. They do exist. Get over it.

First I've got to say that English isn't my motherlanguage (so I can't understand ALL whats written here) so PLEASE
forgive me when I'm asking this, but...

... did I get it right that the Joker is the Joker all the time (even before the disfigurement)? But the Joker will definitely look like the "classic" Joker (green hair, white skin, maybe scars...) in the film too, right?? So we won't see the Joker as a "normal looking man" all the time? I hope so, because I want to see a Heath-Joker in all his ...green and white beauty LOL.

Well, I was posting that because I quoted BOF as being the source in the Joker thread. No harm, no foul. Or fowl. I think we all need to step back a bit from the OFFENSE TAKEN button. I didn't say I was taking her on a one way trip into the mountains in the trunk of my car.

Guess who I just got a call from.......

my mom.

J/K

my friend just called me. And inevitably, I brought up TDK.....

wow, now i'm confused....

so ok, the stuff your friend tells you (and you tell to us) those are the stuff he's confirmed with the other guys to be "the same" and therefore true to be in the movie? and the stuff that are "different" are pobably placed in there it mislead and later track down people, right?

i need time to process your conversation. its a little convoluted.

my friend just called me. And inevitably, I brought up TDK. Apparently, that clown mask plays a part in the "accident" but it's not burned on his face. So I'm like "whaaaaat then? That doesn't make sense. What could it possibly have to do with him? Is it like an origin or something?"

His reply: "It's not really an origin per say. It's like a flashback montage of some things that Joker dispises. Like why he hates things he hates. Why he does what he does."

Now THAT sounds like Nolan!

If the clown mask is something he used to hate, I find that irony deeply amusing.

I wonder if the flashbacks will tie in to some of the detective work Batman does.

Per Anjow's latest post, could it be that we're going to get a very vague, montage-like origin that is cut together from random scenes?

What I mean is, rather than the narrative flashbacks in "Begins," we get shots of different things - a mask, perhaps, or a shot of chemically-burned hands, or some sort of trauma that relates to Joker's psychosis - i.e., a shot of his eyes (and eyes only) just after he's been burned, etc.

This way, there's no definitive origin story, but we get a dramatic, mysterious, and somewhat disturbing sense of insight into who he is.

Also, considering the earlier info - it sounds to me like the Joker starts off as the Joker, white skin and all. And then, at some point, Batman scars him - perhaps it alters his smile, or it literally marks his skin in some way. At that point, he goes uber-freakin' crazy and their near-legendary rivarly is born. In other words, while Batman is not implicit in actually creating the Joker, he is responsible (in some way) for making him the Joker we know and love - Gotham's top criminal.

Great infos, Anjow. The part about the Joker flashbacks really got me fired up, don't know why. I can already imagine how cool these scenes will be.

I dont get it...when does the "official" batman theme play at the end?

yeah, this could possibly be how it goes. certainly follows Nolan's style of storytelling.

after talking to Gordon at the rooftop, next to the Batsignal. he jumps off the building and glides, the music rises to a crescendo, that's the Batman theme.

That's an immense relief. Seriously. This sounds cooler and cooler.
