The Dark Knight Some Possible Joker Info.

Hah, possibly. Wouldn't be suprised if the Joker's vanity played a big part of his hatred for Batman. Though I'm hoping Joker is playing a big game with Gotham that only he understands, and that he recognises Batman as his only worthy adversary.

I'm sure Nolan wants to differentiate the scarring of Joker and Dent, 2 people snapping suddenly is a bit much. This way we get one bonafide loon with no tragic story, and a decent, conflicted guy to empathize with

^Yeah, that's true. Although I don't see Dent being scarred by Maroni until the end of the film, but you never know.....

Of course there will be an origin. What did you all expect?

:cwink:

That's a good theory - maybe he's the Joker with the white face, red lips, green hair, and wide grin at the bank and before his first encounter with Batman.

Is it possilbe he gets even further disfigured by Batman, hence some scarring and prosthetics being applied later in the film? Will the Joker have TWO looks? One that WB releases, one that they don't so people have to wait and see the film?

That's a good theory, Milkman.

Yes, probably. I'm still wondering about that myself. Perhaps - as many have speculated - Joker's origin happened before the rooftop meeting with Gordon. It's not a direct retcon since some time was supposed to have passed.

That also would explain something in the sides I kept meaning to toss up for discussion - remember one of the clown goons who mentioned the 'chicken****s who believe in ghosts?' Well, there could more to that than simply mentioning a generic superstition - what if the Joker really is using his old gang but changed his methods to suit his new persona (and is also using it put the fear of god into them). They're scared (and greedy) so they go along with it, not realising he's actually there.

Five Way Revenge, baby!

^It could also fit that suspicious Buried Mob Boss side where the 'cop' interrogates a thug. The thug says 'he'll find you' as if the boss is back from the dead with a serious bad attitude. Like a ghost.

I figured it wouldnt be cheesy and melt his face.

Hah, possibly. Wouldn't be suprised if the Joker's vanity played a big part of his hatred for Batman.

That's an interesting idea. What if the Joker, as crazy as already he is, is nevertheless handsome and vain... until Batman causes his disfigurement? Then, as someone else said, his exterior matches his interior, and pushes him from being crazy and reckless to dangerously insane.

Addition: if the rumors about the Tumbler are correct, what if Batman, in the Tumbler, caused the disfigurement? He was chasing Joker's goons in their getaway cars, and blasts one off the road; the car crashes, catches on fire...

Is there any mention that if Batman does somehow disfigure Joker and is responsible for the white face, it may actually occur in a flashback scene?

Don't eat those words just yet.

God, it's hard to word this differantly than my friend did way back when he first told me about some stuff. I was upset about the whole "non-purple, may not look like the joker rumor" and was grilling him to that effect. He said that the J-man "looks" like the J-man the whole movie. It's his character that isn't complete. Like Batman drives his character to act more chaotic than he has. Think those Nike commercials with Michael Jordan and Mia Hamm. "Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you"

Etc etc

"Plays into the escalation theory?" i said.
to which he whistled innocently. So i took that as me being a master detective.:woot:

PS: Other than Miranda's and Batarang's messages......please stop PM'in me. I do NOT distribute the sides. I do NOT have the script, and myself has NOT read the script. Yeesh

So it pretty much is Batman #1? Awesome!

I'm just confused about this other disfigurement...but I suppose we'll know soon enough.

BTW, what did you make of what Batarang found?

Anyways - you are most definitely a fully fledged PHD! :woot:

PSA:

I've updated the original post to accomodate all the new information and to clear up a few things. :)

1) I'm starting to think those "scars" we heard about could be Bat's fault. IDK. I could almost be cool with them if they are. Or maybe the "scars" are metaphorical. IDK.

2) IDK where Batarang got that from. It might help in solving the puzzle. But to me it looked like a fan combined info from the sides and attempted to "doctor into movie dialogue" the scene from The Killing Joke.

3) Detective Anjow. He's witty. He's investigative. People hear more about his BOF Signitures than John Hancock. (Cue "Law and Order" 'bum bum' theme) :cwink:

Actually, yes. That does fit some info I recieved awhile back. They definitely experimented with scarring.

That is friggin genius, I love that Batman is causing the mayhem inadvertently

That's not genius. That's Nolan/Nolan/Goyer Amazingness.

But we'll see how much of this pans out. I'm holding my tongue on a variety of 2 or 3 other things because God forbid he be wrong. I'll be thrown in the boo-box.

I'd never put you in the boo-boo corner. ;)

But I know how you feel. For a long time, I truly regretted posting the sides after seeing the vilifying I got from people across the web.

Who cares what any geeks think......post what you heard Anjow!

No, no. I'm saying I like BOF because he doesn't pretend his stuff is solid, it gives us something to talk about.

Sounds fantastic. I can really see that working...

The hell with the boo-boo box, tell us!

Sorry, I promise not to keept bothering you but just for clarification - that does mean he wears purple at some point, right? Because I was very concerned about that too.

LOVE IT!!!
So THATS what they mean by "escalation" in all these interviews.
Think about it. Almost like Bale and Jackman's characters going back and forth in Prestige. Ooooooo this gives me chills.
Nolan, I never doubted you. Anjow, you're my hero. Heath, I'm sorry I said your eyes were too close together. :yay:

Respect to Anjow for posting all this stuff.
BUT
I think it's an ENORMOUS wind-up.
If I'm wrong you may pelt me with all manner of horrible rotten stuff.
And I hope I'm wrong about the wind-up and Anjow's source is wrong about the details.

I don't care whether he wears purple or not, myself (the Joker's gone many a comic wearing alternate outfits, like blue). But it does sound as if he will.

Like the stuff regarding the new Bat-suit. I hope it isn't too 'spandexy,' that it doesn't look too much like tights or something like that. Oh, and no lenses, please!

Wow, this is a lot of new info, i'm not really sure what to think.

To tell the truth, i'm not happy, even after a lot of the debunking. I obviously HATE the idea of a mask fusing to his face, so i'm glad we know that's not happening.

But all this talk of wearing a mask, then later suffering some disfigurement, I dont like it. I really, really, really hope there is no permanent smile. Carved, prosthetics, whatever. I dont want it. I also hate the idea of Joker acting like a clown before becoming one by coincidence. Hopefully a lot of this is either wrong, or it just ends up working out better than it sounds.

WB needs to release a Joker picture soon. Miranda, I remember about 2 and a half weeks ago you mentioned that a Joker pic could be coming in about 3 weeks (i remember calculating it to around mid-May). Any news on that front? Still think it's coming?
