Action-Adventure Sonic 3... and Shadow

Surprisingly shorter than the 2nd movie
I wasn't expecting that. Though Sonic 2 did have some stuff we didn't need like the Hawai scenes.

Yeah im a little surprised at the under 2 hour run time...but with how dense a story they're going to try to tell...a shorter run time may actually be better for general audiences.

They should've released another trailer by now.

I thought it would be around the same length as the first. But I also don't mind them keeping things tighter run time wise either.

So I originally called my shot of new trailer on T-Giving.

I think im going to retract that and say new trailer this week:

Glad II comes out on the 22, so i expect Paramount will wanna focus on G2 that week. And there are reports that they want to have the trailer available to be shown with Moana 2 (which comes out Nov 27 - which is a Wed)

And with the new Poster and Theater stand/Popcorn bucket revealed...next week (tues or thurs) seems likely.

The moment they cast Keanu, you knew they were hoping for a spin off. And there's been whispers of a Shadow spin off for a while now. And i do think that a Shadow movie would probably work better then a Shadow TV series.

I enjoyed the Knuckles TV show, in-spite of its flaws but its clear that for Paramount to have success with Sonic they need to keep embracing the "Sonicness" of the franchise. And if they wanna keep these LA/CGI hybrid going...TV is probably not a viable budget option.

For as bad as the game was for Sonic 06, there's some story elements worth mining and bringing to the big screen.

But swap Sally for Elise. ;)

I have both pros and cons thoughts to this run time

We know it's Silver, you monsters! :argh:
I really think you're right, especially if they're going over Metal Sonic to get to Shadow sooner.

Then again, they could introduce Amy and Metal Sonic at some point, too. But if Silver is coming, then the films should also bring on Blaze. Not just because of Sonic 06, but maybe tie in some elements from Sonic Rush.

I'm really surprised Eggman didn't make Metal Sonic as the climax for the first film as a test of honing Sonic's powers.
