One problem GR has is that he is scary. Sony is family friendlyness to a "T". This character needs to be separated from the knuckleheads that think GR is Spiderman, or the Human torch, etc.. he is not meant to be made into a cuddly marketing toy. His merchandising should be scary halloween stuff, rev up Evil Kneivel type toys. Not happy meals, and stuffed animals. The movies should not cater to this train of thought, they should cater to a line of Depends undergarments because the movie should make you pi$$ yourself. :cwink:

Marvel knights the brand has to be fierce, scary, horrific. Other wise it is just Marvel nits...

I agree, although things like happy meal toys can do wonders for marketing a film.

This is why i hope Marvel decides to one day make some cool old fashioned horror with athmosphere with their 70s horror stories:

GR can work to a broader audience than just the horror ones. Hell the early comics were geared very much towards kids, the modern comics have a bit more adult imagery in them but some of the writing is still geared towards teens. GR doesnt have to be violent and horror-filled to work, but he doesnt need to be making quips, etc, al la the first movie.

That was a big mistake and very out of character.
