The Amazing Spider-Man Sony Pictures bankrupt? Spidey rights back to Marvel?

I don't really want Marvel Studios having the movie rights to Spider-Man, I don't like the feel of their movies, and I certainly don't want Spider-Man apart of that Avengers flick.

Agreed!

I don't think that Spidey would be in the Avengers even if Marvel got the rights back. We would probably get the Marvel universe feel through some mentions and small cameos

I don't want him anywhere near a S[ider-Man film. And it's NOT because of jealousy or any of that, it's simply because (don't get made for me saying this) his style wouldn't match Spider-Man. Spider-Man is a lighthearted character and always has been despite your occasional dark stories. Besides, even if he directed a Spider-Man film, I don't think he'd use a lot of the Vllains we love such as Sandman, etc because they'd be too "fantasy" oriented. His use of realism works for his Batman films, but for Spider-Man? It's a different story.

No offence, but you completely missed his point.

agreed. Spider-ManHero12, the point is that Nolan wouldn't probably even use that simular style with Spider-man

Exactly. I mean, look at the difference in Saving Private Ryan, and ET. Both were directed by Spielberg, completely different tones. Just because a director has ONE superhero series with a realistic and some would say gritty tone, doesn't mean ALL of his movies are like that. Just that he understands that that kind of tone works well with Batman.

If Nolan was to produce/direct a Spider-Man film, I wonder what kind of villains he would use. Just a fun thought. lol

I think he'd love a villain such as Mysterio because there's ALOT to do with him storywise.

I also think he'd love to use the top 2 villains; Green Goblin and Doc Ock.

The key thing to remember is that Nolan loves characters who firmly believe in a certain set of ideas. For example, I could see him using the Green Goblin to great effect. What immediately comes to mind is Gobby's speech on the roof in the first film. The thing about how we're all just maggots hoisting up the flies, if you will. I could see Nolan taking that to great lengths, perhaps even extending Norman's arrogance or madness to the extent of that comic panel always floating about where he's shouting, 'I AM GOD, HAHAHAHAHA.'

Other than that, maybe Kraven. Someone who is so ensnared in the thrill of life that he has no reservations about ending it. (Even his own.)

I'm against Mysterio ever being in a Spider-Man film. Which means, he'll probably end up being in ASM2 just to spite me.

I wouldn't be able to take Mysterio seriously unless they toned down his appearance. It looks excellent in comics and in cartoons, but I'd find myself face palming at it in real life.

Mysterio would make for a great villain from an action/visual perspective, but I think the movie would need a villain with some substance to support him.

Damn, let me put this in the villains thread.
