SERIOUSLY.......DO THEY REALLY THINK IT'S WISE TO SAY SUCH ASININE THINGS? DOESN'T PUBLIC PERCEPTION MEAN ANYTHING TO THEM, OR ARE THEY SO DILUDED, THEY THINK THEIR SMUGNESS IS SOMEHOW APPEALING? 6 MONTHS AGO, I WAS CONVINCED I'D GET A 'PS3' AT LAUNCH, AS LONG AS IT HAD FEATURES THE '360' NEVER WOULD, AND HAD SOME QUALITY EXCLUSIVES I WAS INTERESTED IN. NOW, I'M INCLINED TO JUST BOYCOTT THEM ALTOGETHER.........OR AT LEAST WAIT FOR THEM TO LIVE UP TO THEIR "POTENTIAL".

So what? It's not like they're trying to make a midrange quality experience here, they're trying to make the best system they've ever made. If they do make the PS3 awesome enough to justify the early entry price, more power to them because that would be an amazing console experience.

Zenien, you;ve got a few problems here...

1. Thinking that it will be worth it if it lives up to it's "potential".
2. You don't know what he's hoping it's fulfilled "potential" will be.
3. Thinking that if it lives up to it's potential, it would make the Xbox360 and Wii non-issues.

To expand a bit...

1. Why is a console that lives up to it's potential worth twice as much as it's competition when it's hardware is, at best, equal to the one half it's price? With an inferior online service? Furthermore, what about the games? Will they be so much better (Xbox vs. PS2 difference) that the console will really be WORTH twice as much, just for the access?

2. What is this "potential" he's talking about? Better graphics? More immersive games? E3 said absolutely nothing in favor of these two. Maybe it's the pointless controller which Nintendo bested for 1/3 the price?

3. It's not costing as much as the 360 and Wii combined and at the same time being better than both, taken together. It just isn't happening. Sony's E3 sucked, and considering that was their big show before launch, that's not good for them, or the believability of these stupid statements.

The only potential I'm seeing is a very good Metal Gear Solid 4 and a DVD format that's gonna fall flat on it's face like UMDs. That potential isn't worth $600.

That means half the people are still buying sony's bullcrap. And based on the comments of the article they seem like the pre-teen type that gets their even more informed parents to come out in droves to buy an overpriced underperforming system. I really can't help but be pessimistic guys... I've seen Sony roll through with inferior technology way too many times...
