Certainly.

You couldn't cut "Thus Sprach Zarathustra" into a dance club scene.

:wow:

Would you like to have a real Soundtrack, I mean no Zimmer instrumental...something like GREEN DAY, Placebo, Smashing Pumpkins, DMX ! There was a cool private song called Army for One or Paint it black... no silly stupid soundtrack, something dark and powerful.

What do you think ? Should they start with a soundtrack and involve some cool rock groups ?
No, just a score would be geat

There must be some way out of here, said the joker to the thief,
Theres too much confusion, I cant get no relief.
Businessmen they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line, know what any of it's worth.

No reason to get excited, the thief he kindly spoke,
There are many here among us, who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late.

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.

The first two verses sound like a conversation the Joker would have *before* his accident and personality re-configuration. Two princes looking over women and servants ends on ominous not. Not that this song should be in the movie, I just think it's cool I'm a big Bob Dylan fan.

Are you crazy? Jesus. Why is this place full of cretins? Hans Zimmer is ya' man.

Why do you people forget James Newton Howard? He should get credit much as Zimmer, Zimmer didn't score BB soundtrack alone.

The Valkyrie, Ride of the Valkyrie ala Apocalypse Now

Bruce could pass a group hanging out on a corner in Gotham as they listen to whatever's hot in rap right now. As long as it's just background music passing through the scene.

Yes andthis song could be on the "Inspired By" soundtrack album, maybe a single with a video that includes scenes from the movie. Now suppose this song becomes a hit, is played on MTV, BET all the time, and you have great promotion for The Dark Knight. I think if the Green Day song "Broken Dreams" or whatever, had of been from the BB Soundtrack, BB would have done better at the BO...

Spot on.

However there may be certain scenes that require location music that could potentially become dated if they choose an overtly trendy track. For instance I hope they get someone good to do the music for the nightclub scene.

WIll probably be Timbaland.

burtons films were trying to be timeless and retro, but nolans films look very modern and today.

I dunno, I think Prince clearly dates that film (Batman '89) more than any other singular aspect of it.

This is quite possibly the most rediculous thung I have ever heard. Never once in my life have I said to someone or have they said to me "Hey that song is in this new movie lets go see it."

What about some Huey Lewis and the News, or Phil Collins? Hell, throw Whitney Houston into the mix if you want to.

According to a radio interview I heard awhile back...Nickelback actually wrote the song "Savin Me" for Begins. WB called them up and asked Nickelback to write a song for the movie. Nickelback made a couple of demos for them...WB thought it was to "heavy". So they redid it and added orchestra and more acoustics....The end result they didnt even use it.

Anyways stick to HZ and JNH!

I know it may seem like a shock statement but yo, think about it, that song was a pretty big hit, got a lot of play and the Vid was number 1 on TRL for like a month. Now imagine the Vid having scenes from BB in it, and being in commercials, etc. Kind of like that SPider-Man 2 song. This would have made a lot more Teens check for it in theaters..

You're a ****ing idiot.

Why throw a whole bunch of contemporary music into this movies. It dates them, rather than giving it a timeless finish.

You want dark and powerful? Stick with Zimmer's score.

god i would kill myself if i heard green day on TDK, how corny...

teens shouldnt watch a movie cause its the 'In' thing to do...that kind of crap annoys me, just like a bunch of jocks going to the local cinema watching spiderman 3 just because 'its the cool thing to do' if people ENJOY and love and care for the character they should go see it...not because of a stupid preppy fad.

You know, Psych Ops played that on tracks when U.S. Marines into into the Battle of Fallujah. How ****ing cool is that?
