Debuts next Thursday on NBC from the producers of ER.

Sounds like a good show. I'll be watching for sure.

I will probably will this weekend. I've been pretty curious about it.

I heard it is on NBC.com already.

I'll watch it this weekend online.

I'm in...Ben McKenzilicious can do no wrong.

Ryan Atwood, on the side of law and order? We've lived to see the day.

Every show I've gotten invested in this year has gotten canned so I'm too down to try another, especially on NBC. Plus the Shield just ended so I've had my fill of cop shows for a few years.

Maybe my non-watching will get it picked up.

Stop crushing all my hopes and dreams!

Does anyone remember Boomtown? From what I remember the show was ok. It didnt last too long though. The problem I think was that it had too much going on with the different perspectives of the various people involved in law enforcement that it didnt really catch on with the GP.

I think Southland might have a chance because from what Ive seen in the trailers the show will focus more on the LAPD, especially in the life of Ben Sherman as he starts out as a police officer.

I hope this show does well.

It reminds me of how ER started with Carter as the "fresh face" and you look at it from his point of view. I think Southland is the same except it's about cops.

It was a good pilot and better than Harper's Island. Tune in for the next five, shame that this will have to move (Mondays?) and Leno will be taking over.

It was a very good pilot. I see this as a Friday Move. Maybe it's just me, but Ben McKenzie looks totally different here then on the OC.

Dude looks the same. Cat hasn't aged a bit. Great episode. Ben McKenzie should be a bigger star.

Haven't seen any OC Episodes since the finale, so yeah.

Regina King is hot in this episode.

I didn't watch. Frankly the previews make this look like every other police melodrama out there. Plus, I'm rooting for its failure in the name of Chuck.

Is it really a fair comparrison though? Harper's Island is a mini-series. They have much less time to accomplish things...therefore spending an episode or two doing little more than establishing characters, relationships, etc is not uncommon where as a series has more leeway and can take its time and have a more focused pilot due to the fact that it doesn't need to rush.

Regina King is the s***! It's a damn shame she isn't a bigger star!

I watched. It was pretty good actually. The characters have some potential.

Aside from Patrick Swayze (and that's more his cancer, than anything), how crazy is it that out of everyone from the Outsiders, C. Thomas Howell looks like he's aged the most!

saw this show last night and I'm liking it. I like Ben Mckenzie and hope the show stays. It's grittier than I thought (not like Shield, but pretty dark for a NBC show, IMO).

How about we root for the failure of The Biggest Loser instead?

It seems good...but I'm not watching it because as always...it will be canned to make room for more stupid reality shows. And I blame all of you who watch them for it.

I liked the premiere. It definitely had an E.R. vibe.

That scene with the kid being gunned down was harsh.

I wonder if Ben's father being a lawyer had anything to do with him wanting to be a cop.

[blackout]Cooper[/blackout] being gay wasnt a surprise since I read a spoiler beforehand, and I liked how they chose to tell us that. Just a close up shot of him in a bar and then panning away to show us that it's a gay bar.

I really like Det. Adams. She seems like a really good detective and what little of her background that was shown to us really reminds me of Dr. Benton. It was pretty dumb of her to go back to the crime scene without any backup though. Lucky for her Asham(I think) didnt finish her off. I thought for sure the white guy that was talking about how little girls are so developed or whatever was the one that kidnapped the girl in the beginning.

I hope the show finds a large enough audience to last.

I didn't even notice that. lol
