not sure if this should go in the movie or tv forums but.........awesome
FilmJunk have this:
Ive been pretty disappointed with G4s recent change in programming as they continue on their quest to become the new Spike TV. But this is the first new piece of original programming that Ive actually been interested in (much better than that atrocious Star Trek 2.0 crap), and it should connect with everyone from the hardcore geek audience to the young male college student demographic as well. 13 half-hour episodes are currently in production; Mel Brooks voices two characters and co-wrote the pilot with Spaceballs scribe Thomas Meehan. The series will reportedly parody all kinds of popular movies aside from Star Wars, but all I can think is that if they found that much stuff to lampoon in the original trilogy, theyre going to have a field day with Episodes 1 to 3! Spaceballs: The Animated Series is set to debut sometime in fall 2007.
