Heh. No man I'm just stating I've had this conversation a thousand times, we argue about stuff like this constantly. Even on whether or not our son should learn spanish.

Yet on this subject she agrees with me.

I respect your opinion I just have mine.

when i go to japan ..i dont expect them to speak english

when i go to mexico i dont expect them to speak english

when i go to namibia i dont expect them to speak english

we are the ONLY country that has PROGRAMS that are funded by the gov to help people learn english.

why ?????

while i have no qualls with the anthem being sung in spanish...i do have a problem with people expecting US to cater to them.....

:) oddly enough when i go to england i dont expect them to speak english either ..i keed

And what dialect was this country founded on? English. The US is the only country in the world that allows other cultures to come in, b**** about what they don't like, and have it changed to suit their wants. The national anthem can be sung in any language for all I care but if you don't like my country...LEAVE!:)

People who come here don't realize how good they got it.

lol, that must be you only, because you'd be the first person to ever go outside the US and not expect to have your language spoken back to you.
in Tijuana about 90%, 90% of everything in in both english and spanish and close to, or perhaps more than 60% of people speak english fluently.
no outcry as of yet.
but yeah, your country has a lot of programs that only apply to your country, you should learn about all of them.

wow ..honestly??? i was led to believe different..but i do know...that its an "unwritten" rule... that you speak english in america... for example...

im not gonna go to your house and automatically speak spanish to you and yours.... i EXPECT(only due to this conversation) for you to speak english..when people visit..they KNOW they need to speak english...

i dont understand the logic...

i was raised when you go to someones house ..you follow THEIR rules... while a good host is courteous and catering...it is not an OBLIGATION to bend over backwards....

do you think that's because people want to speak or because visiting foreign nationals demand for it to be spoken to them?
