Comics Speculation: Sinister's Plot

From the Mike Carey interview at UXN, I believe that Sinister is going to try and restart that mutant race and restore it to its former "glory" in terms of numbers. I think that's a common theory, and not too hard to work out; however, how will he go about it? According to Carey, it will be "appalling" and will cause at least two defections (one of which will have been "a long time coming").

Let the speculation begin.

Sinister cares **** about mutantkind. All he wants is to study evolution. I doubt he'd kick start mutantkind again just because.

According to Carey, he wants to rule over mutantkind, but only after he's "improved" them.

Then Carey should start re-reading back issues to truly understand what motivates Sinisters

I agree with Sebita....Sinister has never cared about mutantkind. His is no savior and really has no reason to try and 'fix' it. He has always been too concerned with Scott Summers and his family and his obsession wth creating the perfect being. He also has a man crush on Gambit for some reason. This big event involving Sinister had better be original and worth it. Its elevating him to be THE BIG BAD as opposed to semi-big bad. Unless he is wondering, like everyone else, how the 'next step in human evolution' has been all but eradicated. That means that there is probably yet another(how many would this make?) race of beings that will become the next step.

I think Sinister should have been near Magneto's level as the main x-villain

^Should have been, but grossly underused. I really really dislike the dark beast though.....I hope he doesnt show up anytime soon. I think Sinister will inject one of the female X-Men (most likely Lady M or someother lesser known charcter) with his, well, you know and she will give birth to a mutant baby. This will cause some of the X-Men heartache and the said pregnant X-Man will hight tail it out of dodge.

I think that Sinister wanting to jumpstart the X-gene makes sense. Wanting to RULE them, makes no sense.

I'm not entirely convinced Sinister would want to repower mutants.
