Okay, so I'm a big Spidey fan, despite not having read any of the comics but growing up watching the different animated series and playing the games, watching the films etc.
Recently, I read the Spider-Man 2099: Genesis, borrowed from the library and loved it. I'd heard of Spider-Man 2099 before from Shattered Dimensions but didn't know much about him and wasn't interested in reading about him either. I'm glad I decided to borrow the book though when I found out in the library (there aren't many comics here in the library, maybe because I'm in the UK).
Anyway, I read through it all and loved it; the characters, the story and just seeing this now, slightly darker version of Spider-Man.
Though I've only read the first 10 issues, I was thinking about how cool it would be if a Spidey 2099 film was made. If they stayed pretty close to the comics doing it then I think it would be amazing telling the story on the silver screen to an audience who have heard of Spider-Man before but not Miguel O'Hara, a new take on things.
I know Miguel is meant to be Irish/Mexican but if a film was made in the near future, I think Jesse Eisenberg would be a great actor for the role. I'd be so excited to see the badass costume brought to life too, with the talons and all.
What are everyone else's thoughts?
