Spider-Man 3:The Game Thread

Found this Spider-man 3 game to be the worst in the control department and probably the most out of place game.

Can anyone tell me at what point am I supposed to lose the black suit and go back to my original suit?

Ok so which is better the Superman Returns or Spiderman 3 game?

GO!

What version of the game are you playing? In all versions you lose the symbiote suit just before you start into the battle royale stage of the game.

In the PS2 version you have to take it off shortly after you defeat Shriek & Morbius. Spidey brings Shriek & Morbius back to Doc Connor's lab & then goes to a church to remove the suit & then Eddie gets the suit & then you start the battle royale stage of the game with Sandman & Venom.

I'm playing it on the 360. That's all I needed to know, cause I face Kingpin and then The Lizard part 3 next. Thanks.

Nothing.

He hates Peter at the beginning of the game and wants him dead. Then he gets defeated and at the end of the game he goes "Wow I gotta help him!" even though they never explained any losing memory or figuring out Peter wasn't responsible for his father's death.

That is, my friend, bad story telling from your friends at Activision.

They did a terrible job with the movie's story in this game. Like how Spider-Man wakes up with the Symbiote on and sees Sandman, who he's never met before and goes after him. And brutally hurts him as if he killed his uncle...which was never mentioned in the game.

:down
Not to mention the cops waving Sandman goodbye after the final battle just because he had a daughter. Come on. :down

As far as Superman Returns and Spider-Man 3 goes, here's my $0.02:

Superman Returns was 50% of a game. They absolutely nailed the powers. When you flew in SR, it was unreal. 4 sonic booms, the sound of the city fading in and out, pressure sensitive breath and vision powers. Everything seemed to be presented very well. I very much enjoyed the 'vertical scoring' aspect of the game (music became 'loftier' as you ascended through the city.) . However, despite its presentation, SR lacked some key aspects that would make an excellent game. The story was a big part. It seemed to be the same thing over and over again. It got boring and repetitive. Especially if you messed up one single mission and had to earn those damned xp points all over again. Plus, the game was full of glitches. Parts of buildings couldn't be landed on when you were flying, sometimes cars would just disappear when you carried them. It was a game that could've been excellent, but it failed in execution.

I need some more time with Spider-Man 3 to make a decent commentary on it, but so far I like what I've played. The controls seem decent, and I love the graphics. They have to be played on a very specific TV to get the best quality, though, so that would be a negative.

Both games lack unlockable quality. Superman gives us playable Bizarro and Sony gives us playable Goblin, and each character gets absolutely no story missions. It was an unlockable for the sake of an unlockable. Quite a disappointment.

In short, each game needed some work, but in my opinion, each is a good game in some aspects. Personally, though, it's a tie. I love Spider-Man, cause, well, it's Spider-Man. And I love Superman for the depth of the power development.

You lose the black suit after the "Mary Jane Scare Ride". The battle royale doesn't directly follow that, either. I've done a handful of missions since, no battle royale yet

I just beat the game with the black suit. How do I play story mode again?

Very good points on both games. I already have Superman Returns, and I thought it was pretty cool to be able to be Superman, but the story and missions were repetative. I am going to buy Spiderman 3 this weekend and play it.

In regards to Justice League and Marvel Legends, what's your take on these games?

Webhead731, can you give me a little more information on where this sewer is in Lincon circle? I looked everywhere in the Subway of lincon circle, I even when't up the stairs to exit the Subway and I stil couldn't find it.

You don't.

-1 for Activision for not giving us a level select....again....dumbasses.

Okay, when you go down there to the small stop area or whatever you wanna call it (the area with the trains running through it), go through the tunnels. Now which side is it? I can't tell you because it depends on where you started. But there's only two ways to go so just try both of them.

The tunnel is greyish, and just keep looking to the right as you go through the tunnel. Eventually you will see a broken hole in the wall. Go through that and a long hallway, then you end up in a big open room and you go to the manhole thing on the floor and press (on 360) X and B repeatedly to open it. Then you go down and there's another hole, go down that and there's the sewer.

Sadly, it's not much of one. It's not the whole sewer system. It's just the part of it where you had to get the serum for Conners at the end of the game. I think you have to have the game beaten to even get down there.

i would like to know this too...i looked through out the whole subways as far as i know...and i can't find the spot where you fight sandman.

thats what i was thinking...that stinks if thats the case, it was a cool part of the subway, and the sewers are kinda boring after you fight your missions in them.

Well I was fighting Harry (when I restarted w/ the black suit) and I went in there.. You just gotta find it. I assume it's still open. Look long and hard gents.
