I would say Iron Man 2....and it's not even close. :funny:

I mean, even though Iron Man 2 was not a great movie, at least it didn't throw in characters left and right for no reason except to just throw them in like Spider-Man 3 did. Spider-Man 3 was just a cluster**** while Iron Man 2 can still be enjoyable to some. In fact, even though it was my least favorite MCU movie, I find some people saying they really liked the movie for some reason, although it may be because they don't read the comics.

No, Iron Man 2 threw its own characters left and right for no reason. Terrible story, over the top *****ebag Tony, they wasted Mickey Rourke's potential and talking about implausability. Basically his father left an easter egg in a 50s diorama of the expo so his son could discover a new element while poisoned by the palladium in the ark reactor 50+years into the future. Wow, great job Jennifer Aniston's Boy Toy ! The only good thing was the action but that doesn't really say much nowadays.

Spiderman 3 all the way. At least it has some good parts in it, fun 90s cheese, excellent final battle, Bruce Campbell's second best cameo and it wasn't intentionaly bad. Sam Raimi had a completely differnet film in mind, Marvel ruined the film, not the creators while IM2 was made to be a popcorn film just for some hot cash. At least IM3 was Shane Black's vision, he made the exact version of IM that i expected him to make, minus the Mandarin twist, i didnt see that coming.

For me, Iron Man 2 is way better. Spiderman 3 is one of the very few movies i've seen where i kept wondering when it would end as i watched it.

I will take Iron Man 2 any day over 60 ft Sandfreak, alien goo lands next to Peter in random park, Dance fever Parker, *****ebag Eddie Brock, the "wicked cool" final battle among other weak ass aspects of that film that I hated.

Yeah IM2 was surprisingly average, but SM3 was a travesty. Not even a close call. SM3 vs GL or, say, X3 would be a better debate.

Iron Man 2 was a good movie. Spider-Man 3 was not. Simple as that.

Interesting choice, SM3 could fall into its so bad its good at point. IM2 to me was just uninteresting and boring for the most part.

I created this poll to test whether IM2 was truly the "travesty" some people claim it to be.

The "silly" scenes of both movies: (For humour). :yay:

SM3

You can't even be serious asking this question...

As a movie, IR2 is better.

But I find Sm3 more entertaining.

They are around equal for me so I didnt vote on any of them, should have included an equal option.

Psylock hit the nail on the head.

Both movies have some ridiculous moments, but still provide in other aspects. Both have great action scenes especially final battles, though Spider-Man 3 dominates IM2's last battle (which I view as the whole drone lead up/Vanko segment), I love the team-up with Harry, and the two villains give Spidey a run for his money. Even if we have some less-than-great scenes to get us there. Iron Man has the same flaw. The Palladium story was neat but after repeated viewings, I can see it is super convenient. The goofyness in both movies has scenes that are in the same spirit as the previous movies but feel redundant or excessive. And the way handled Tony's alcohol dependency is just as bad a treatment as the black suit ended up with. I understand that liberties have to be taken but those storylines are very near, if not the top the list of mishaps in my book.

It's not like Spidey 3 is getting 0 votes. :funny:

I made the poll because they are both accused of being the weakest movies in their respective trilogies. Plus it's nice seeing IM2 winning a poll.

Its not even close...Im sorry but if you vote Spider-Man 3 Im not sure I can take your opinion on anything serious like ever again. Spider-Man 3 is one of the worst and most unintentionally hilarious films I have ever seen.

I can forgive Spiderman 3. Raimi clashed with the studio, he lost interest, we got a bad movie, sounds logical. But, there is absolutely no excuse after the all kinds of awesome Iron Man to get this POS that is Iron Man 2. RDJ hiring his friends to write the script, Michey Rourke's talent snubbed, Tony's out of character portrayal (because that wasn't the Tony stark of the first film, i dont care about the poisoning he wouldnt be that of a jackass), wasted War Machine, no real plot because the bad guy as we know him from the comics is beaten in the first half of the film and then we get a corporate *****e as a villain (again), anticlimactic climax, also the fight was pretty dull, Crimson Dynamo/Whiplash was beaten way too easly.

At least the final fight in Spiderman 3 was badass.

With all it's faults, I can still watch and enjoy Iron Man 2. It is my least favorite of the MCU films, but it's still "ok" even if quite disappointing. While it just didn't pull a great story together, I don't find anything terrible in it like I do SM3.

I find Spider-Man 3 to be just dreadful. I honestly have no desire to ever watch that again.

I like versus threads. So I won't complain. But I think we will soon have a vs thread for every movie combination.

IM2 - 8/10
SM3 - 5/10

Iron Man 2 was mediocre, but not as bad as what some here make it out to be.
Spider-Man 3 was just awful IMO. Such a massive disappointment as Spider-Man 2 was perhaps my favorite CBM back in the day. Left me with emotional scars that took 5 years to go way lol.

Iron Man 2 is actually enjoyable, so Iron Man 2.

They both failed in different ways. In Spider-Man 3 they threw a bizillion villains, new characters and storylines and they stuffed it up leaving no room for emotion and much time for the audience to digest what was happening. Plus there were many cheesy moments were it should've been the darkest one in the trilogy.

Iron Man 2 on the other hand just followed the easy road by adding absolutely nothing new in it besides the various Avengers references that didn't help develop the story at all.

Overall Iron Man 2 was a better film just because Spider-Man 3 failed in so many levels. Out of the two though Spidey had much more potential even if they screw it in the end. Iron Man 2 never had any to surpass the first one. I personally hate neither. I still find them enjoyable for the most part just substantially inferior to their previous ones.
