not really. I can partially agree with you that Sony's alleged demand for another high stakes Spider-Man movie isn't offensive to Marvel Studios that they would want to break the contract (I don't think they could even if they wanted to because whatever was signed in 2019 is likely a several picture deal), but from what I gathered from conversing with @Frodo before is that Marvel & Sony were arguing about which direction to take SM4 and now that that so much has changed both in personal life drama and critical/commercial reception of Multiverse Saga MCU films, that the suspicion that I've been convinced by @Frodo is that Marvel Studios eventually just decided to roll with the high stakes Spider-Man movie that Sony wanted. The argument the higher ups at Disney wanted the multiverse for Spider-Man 4 is a whole different argument than I've been getting so far, and it is more believable than just assuming that Marvel for no reason changed their minds when there's no evidence they did.
AND the higher-ups at Disney maybe weren't getting involved especially before the real world personal life drama, but coupling that with the common perception that the MCU is currently in a flop phase, may have made the higher-ups begin siding with Sony about another high stakes Spider-Man movie. and Marvel Studios caved too. now look, maybe the higher-ups got involved, maybe they didn't. but either way, Marvel Studios caved and decided to go Sony's way too.
and the reasons being that 1 as I said, Sony's demand isn't offensive enough but 2 on top of that, the main reason is because these are all businesses at the end of the day their top priority (above telling a good story) is always going to be what's going to yield the highest potential of full bags of money making profit.
back in 2021, we also heard rumors that Sony & Disney (or maybe just Marvel Studios, I think I should start making the distinction) were also disagreeing about whether to reveal the legacy Spider-Men in the trailers of NwH. Sony wanted it, but Marvel/Disney didn't. Sony listened, and it paid off big time. NwH broke so many records...highest grossing film of 2021, highest grossing film during the pandemic, sixth highest grossing film of all time, and highest grossing Spider-Man film of all time.
so Sony and Marvel/Disney are disagreeing again. yes, Sony gets final creative control but I think it is safe to say they have allowed Marvel to have the vision for these MCU Marvel movies because they trust it's going to be fruitful for them, which it has been. and we've heard these rumors of them disagreeing again now about a low key SM4 or a high stakes SM4, and this time Sony won. if Marvel Studios felt strongly enough about it then maybe they could have kept on pushing back, but decided (because they're thinking about the best chance at the most profit) to go with the high stakes movie again.
maybe Disney got involved, maybe they didn't. it doesn't really matter either way because like I said, they are ALL big business whose #1 goal is $$$. telling a good, cohesive, compelling story (which we would have gotten if they went with Spider-Man + Daredevil vs. Kingpin + Scorpion 😭) is second to that. Always.
