I'd be shocked if he's not there. Christopher Daniel Barnes being there with Josh Keaton and everybody else? Sign me up!

My life got flipped turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I got wrapped up in the Spiderverse out of nowhere

Who's the big teethed one between MJ and Ben Reilly? Doppelganger maybe? It doesn't seem to be Spider-Carnage. Though he does seem to have some spiders crawling on him, so maybe it's a very disturbing version of Spiders-Man or something.

@SirStrangefolk yeah looks like Doppelganger which is really cool. Right next to fellow 90s-riffic Scarlet Spider. I feel it's pretty likely the 90s-comic style Scarlet Spider's world is one we'll get to in the movie just for those stylistic opportunities to show off in animation.

Stoked about Spectacular being confirmed right there in the front row, I figured the chances were good but it's so cool to see him already. Unlimited right up front looking good, hopefully we can finally get some decent Spider-Man Unlimited action figures thanks to this appearance!

I'm sure the rumored 90s cartoon appearance is a no-brainer too. I doubt any of the roles are that substantial but just the fact that these beloved versions (I like Unlimited a lot ok lol, that and Spec were cut short) are getting to appear on the big screen likely by their respective voice actors too is just a really cool thing to see happen. I think I spotted the confirmed Toei Spider-Man in the wider poster too further back, the mask with the distinctive Supaidaman eyes.

So apparently Greg Weisman had no idea that Spectacular Spidey was gonna be in this and he believes he's just been included for the poster rather than being featured in the movie per Chris Miller's vague confirmation. Not sure how to respond to that.

It does make me take a step back and I think they might include him for a quick cameo with no lines, which... I'm already managing my expectations for the cameos we're going to get in this movie and how very little in screentime they'll be, but I won't lie and say I'd feel disappointed if they don't bring back Josh Keaton for a few lines at least. :/

I think they might be in denial being acknowledged after being shafted for so long lol.

There's no way he's just on the poster and not in the movie, that's just silly talk. A ton of these are in the trailer, others spotted on the poster we know are confirmed to appear in the movie- he's in the front row for cryin out loud! MJ-Spidey is the opposite side front row and she was in the trailer. He's in the movie, the question is just how substantial or small that appearance will be.

Yea I don't expect more than just 1 second of screen time, if that much really. But his inclusion does is welcome though.

I wonder if the characters being on either side on the poster means anything about their feelings on the moral dilemma. It seems like a lot of the characters that would be more on Miles side are stacked on the right side. Sure, Unlimited's on that side and he was chasing Miles in the trailer but feelings can change after sitting on it a bit lol. Maybe that's something that happens, more characters are buying into Miguel's take but more spiders start backing Miles as it goes on.

We need Spider-Ma'am to throw some wheatcakes at somebody.

I think this might be 90s cartoon Spidey.

I’m not surprised or disappointed about there being no lines from the animated cartoon cameos.

There’s already a lot to focus on as it is — let alone the handful of other Spidey cameos rumored — so I never expected we’d hear much from previous animated iterations. If anything, we may hear from the 90’s version since that’s by far the most iconic tv version (aside from the OG cartoon).

It’ll still be super nice seeing the nods and references to past adaptations though

The problem with that choice is that it could end up being seen as window-dressing; that if it was cut out of the movie sans the chasing Miles scene (whatever that will be about), nothing would change. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask that at least some of these cameos have a few lines, otherwise why bother include them in the first place other than blink-and-you'll-miss-it fan service (not to mention, include them prominently in the poster)? There has to be at least some purpose for all these Spider-People to play a part in the story other than just being easter eggs, that doesn't detract from Miles and the group.

That and, I doubt Christopher Daniel Barnes' Spider-Man would be the only one given lines. If the rest of them end up not having any lines, his version wouldn't either.

I think it's very likely the TV show Spidey's are gonna have some lines lol. I heard Josh Keaton was just playing coy on a stream recently and deleting tweets about it from last year so he's looking like Andrew Garfield all over again. Or you could say, more like the Spider-Werewolf on the poster. :cwink:

I don't know how much stock you wanna put into some of the leakers out there but a few months ago one of them said they knew Christopher Daniel Barnes, Josh Keaton, and Yuri Lowenthal are reprising their particular Spidey's in the movie. They didn't know about Rino Romano for Unlimited. Spectacular Spidey and PS4 Spidey are on the poster (and PS4 in the trailer), I personally doubt they are silent for the entire duration of whatever their appearances are lol.

I think the big disproportionate guy on the right in the even more extended poster looks like Spidercide haha, I think that one was in the trailer too. I like the Last Stand Spidey even has the John Romita Jr. spider symbol.

I hope they address why we haven’t seen any of the variants from the first movie in the film yet

They probably will. It's obvious they're still concealing a lot from this movie so I should imagine they could pop up near the end to set up Beyond The Spider-Verse.

Heck, until this last trailer, I was of the belief that they also weren't going to bring back Peter B. Parker, yet here he is and with a baby daughter to boot.

Noticed the ones that are fully colored/saturated are the ones that we’ve seen in the leaked promo art/trailer/concept art and pretty much confirmed to have large/larger roles with substantial speaking lines from known actors, or are at least going to be featured very prominently. So, I’m guessing all of the ones that look faded/out of focus/desaturated are mostly going to amount to a line/few lines and/or a quick cameo. Seems Spider-Man Unlimited, Ben Reilly Spider-Man and Spider-Man India have much more screen time than previously thought.

So, sorry Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man: TAS and Supaidaman fans. It’s better than nothing, though. Amazing that we’re even getting that.

The Spot was pretty badass in the 90's Spider-Man cartoon.
