Discussion in 'Sony Spider-Man Spin-Offs' started by Blitzkrieg, Nov 27, 2018.
Dig the title, and the description of the footage. Getting to see 6 different dimensions has me excited, and based on the amount of characters, it seems like they'll really be taking the time to flesh out each world they visit.
Also, the Jessica Drew mention reminded me, aren't we also getting an all female Spiders spin-off? I wonder if that'll be set up in this and where that'll tie into these two films.
Sounds very ambitious.
I hope Peter Parker is still at the center of the Spider-Verse like in the comics and we see the various different versions of him throughout the multiverse, including the live action Spidey’s.
Are they bringing Peter B Parker back or does this focus only on Miles and Gwen?
Description sounds awesome and these two movies feel like they'll be a more bonkers multiversal ride than NWH. The only Sony Spider-Man related projects I'm looking forward to right now lol.
I know there was a synopsis a while back that only mentioned Miles and Gwen. Don't think it's 100% clear yet whether the previous Spider-People will end up returning in this one or not.
imdb has Jake Johnson listed for Across the Spider-verse but I don’t know how accurate that is
Yeah, that site isn't usually reliable about casting announcements since people can just add in whoever they want. Remember the Aunt Carnage meme from the Spider-Man 3 days?
It really does any guess to the 6 different universe in the movies? So miles universe and 2099 I think are the 2 that are basically a given. Any chance we see animated spiderman 2099 universe or spiderman ps4 universe?
I think I remember Johnson doing an interview where he said that he was working on a deal being in it, but I don't know if that was this one or maybe the sequel.
This will be the REAL Multiverse of Madness.
Yeah, like I have to at least imagine the climax to Beyond The Spider-Verse is gonna be epic to behold.
This, Beyond the Spiderverse, and Venom 3 are the only (announced) Sony Spider-Man things I’m interested in. Everything else is just filler.
El Muerto will surpass all of them.
The Spot is a very underrated villain so I'm happy to see him get the spotlight in something (no pun intended).
Apparently Vulture is "anachronistic" so I'm guessing it's either Vulture 2099, Vulture Noir or Steampunk Vulture from Lady-Spider's universe.
So those Spot rumors were true, nice. Always liked his potential as a villain.
Plus it'll be nice to see Jason Schwartzman actually star in a good Spider-Man movie.
Its going to be an amazing animated sequence.
The Spot? Hell, yes
Animation is the perfect medium for the character, and I can't wait to see all the cool things this team does with the character.
I only know of The Spot from the 90’s cartoon, but he should work very well on the big screen!
SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Directors Tease The Spot's Unique Role In Upcoming Sequel
I am beyond excited to see what they do with character.
There's going to be a lot of creative visuals and fight scenes with him and it's gonna be spectacular.
