you know with all the talk of MCU Spider-Man 4 being another multiverse film, this multiverse film is one that I think is part of a series that's better than all of the rest.

I don't get any excitement with these Spider-Verse movies. I don't like the animation style, and I would prefer if it was just live action.

I laughed when they told us in the theater "Pt3 drops in 10 months - 2024!" when nothing was recorded and I am laughing now.

if what @Da-Scribe suggested ends up being correct, then it will make the film much, much worse. it'll rival Mass Effect 3 in the worst endings of a trilogy ever.

Why would they ever admit it if a large portion was being redone.

Considering what happened on Justice League it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility the same thing happened here.

I don't know how far along in the process they are; but that's not how animation works. Justice League isn't comparable when it comes to the process, not to mention corporate and creative shenanigans.

Plus, this isn't their first, or even second, rodeo. This is a highly regarded, award-winning franchise -- who would they even be changing for? It's everyone else trying to be them; so I don't get that reasoning.

It was about 5 years between the 1st and 2nd, it was going to take a while for the 3rd to release anyway - everyone should know that. In any case, I was thinking 2026 is the most likely release year.

It's probably a visitor count. I've clicked on the link to read his newsletter a couple of times...and each time I forget you need to subscribe. I probably make up 1 of those 25 million lol.

Seeing Sneider have a public meltdown like this is hilarious though. It's one of the few positives of an app like X.

Also, I love how he's trying to spin this, along with intermittent bursts of rage.

You'd have more of a point if the 2nd and 3rd movie wasn't a two-parter and advertised as such for years. Lord and Miller admitted years ago this was just supposed to be 1 movie before they realized they had too much and decided to split the movie into 2 parts. The 2nd movie is still very good, but IMO it failed to live up to the 1st movie and that's beause it's simply an incomplete story. Really, instead of making the movie a 2-partner, they should have simply trimmed things down to tell a good stand alone movie.

I get it, but at the end of the day Sneider worked for the trades and knows about properly sourcing a story, unlike every aggregator online that can barely read and then they make up their own headlines.

Recently, wasn't it puck news that said a batman game was in the works based off of Reeves' batman. Then Gunn said it was untrue. I'm pretty sure he worked for one of the major trades so I don't think he would have just made up a story like that. So is he a liar? Not necessarily, it could be that a game was in the works and was eventually scrapped and his source had information that was old.

Things change all the time in Hollywood so it's not really that big of a deal if a story is wrong. The question is more if the reporter makes up a story or actually has sources. Jeff has gotten a number of stories right. So with all things, when dealing with rumours I take them all with a large grain of salt until they are announced.

It’s hard to take Jeff seriously given how he’s acting on X right now. He’s mad at filmmakers for saying his reporting was false, even though he says that’s exactly what they’re supposed to do. If that’s true, then why the temper tantrum? He just comes off as untrustworthy.
