Hello everyone, I'm currently making a spider-man fanfilm and am planning on finishing it up in the next month or two. We've had the idea to make this film for around a year now and we were excited to start filming it a couple months ago. I bought the Panasonic DVX100a to shoot this film, along with costumes and props for the film. I've uploaded a few pictures from the film and will upload more as we get closer to finishing the film. The film is based a little from the spider-man film, comics, and mostly our own ideas. We are filming the carjacker and human spider scenes tomorrow night and I'll upload some pictures, so you can see the costume of the human spider. Everything is moving along great and I'm going to post a trailer in the next month or weeks depending on how fast we shoot some of the scenes. I'm going to upload a picture of the spider-man costume, along with the goblin's and prowlers in the next week. The villians that we have in this film are Prowler, Goblin, and the Kingpin. I'll keep you posted on what is new with the film.

We were able to shoot part of the human spider scene tonight and it is looking great. I have to load all the footage in the computer, so I will upload some of the pictures tomorrow. We are planning on finishing the human spider and carjacker scene tomorrow night. I'll keep you posted on the filming situation.

We shot some more of the carjacker scene last night and it is looking great! I will post some more pictures in the next couple of days. We should have our costumes in the next week or two and I will post some pictures of the Prowler, Goblin, and Kingpin costumes. Hope everyone enjoys the costumes that we've created for them.

I'm starting to edit the human spider/carjacker scene and it is turning out great. We shoot some more on the scene tomorrow night and the ending scene for the carjacker, which is a fight scene, on Monday night. I'll post a couple more new pictures from the carjacker scene tomorrow night. Right now some of the carjacker clips are in the hands of my 3d animator and I'm hoping to see back footage soon! Things are coming along great and I'll keep everyone posted.

 

[Conundrum]

It sounds as if you're using the Spider-Man movie as a basis for your origin. Is that what your story is based upon? Or is it a combination of the movie and the comics?

Well I guess most of the movie is based on the movie. I have a lot of scenes that I liked from the film and decided to put into mine, but I wanted to make my own version of spider-man, so I added some more characters and a little of my own story. The goblin is pretty much the same as in the movie, except that I changed him so he is looking for a cure to heal himself. Then I added in the prowler and I got the basic idea of what his motivation is from the comics, but that is all I took from him and I'm having him follow my own story. Then I threw in the kingpin as a side villian that I can play around with, so he is in a little bit of the film. So the movie is based on the movie mostly, except that I added in other characters and some of my own story.

Here are a couple of rough shots of the spider-man costume that I took awhile ago. Also another picture of the human spider costume. We are working on the prowler and goblin costumes right now and I will post some pictures as soon as we finish them. We have a little concept design of the mask. Check out that picture below, but I'm thinking of changing the mask and making it look more life like than a mask.

Tonight we are shooting some more of the carjacker scene and the 3d animation for the scene is coming along great! I'll upload some pictures of the shoot tonight in the next couple of days. Also in two days we are going out for a day shoot and I'll upload some pictures from the day shoot. Next week we are shoot some of the Norman Osborn scenes and I'll upload some more pictures. In the the next week or two I'll be uploading a lot of new update photos and hopefully in around a month upload a trailer for the film. I'll keep you updated.

Alright I'm here with some great news! Over the next two days we are going to be filming like crazy. We are going to be filming a lot of the Peter Parker scenes and the Hobbie Brown scenes. For those of you that don't know who Hobbie Brown is, he is the person that turns into the Prowler. Below is a picture of the prowler. The Prowler costume is being made and should be done in the next few days and I'll post some pictures of the suit. We will be shooting with the Prowler costume next week and possibley get into the kingpin scenes. If all goes to plan I should have a teaser trailer online in the coming weeks! I'll keep everyone updated and let you know on the teaser trailer situation. More pictures coming soon!

Prowler costume pictures online! We have a rough costume of the Prowler costume. The mask still needs a little adjusting and pants, but we are getting close to completing it! We only need the symbol on the front, gloves, and boots and the costume is complete. We should be able to start shooting the prowler fight scenes next week. Everything is coming along great and hoping to have a trailer up shortly. I hope you enjoy the pictures of the Prowler costume so far.
