Marvel really had to squeeze these movies into their schedule, and so close together. They can't keep Sony waiting for them to cooperate.

Always assumed that the sequel would be one of the 3 to be revealed movies of 2020, now I'm really curious what they'll be. Any ideas, people?

I'm really hoping Spidey is in IW & gets the Symbiote which leads to the Black suit story in part 2.

I see no purpose in rebooting Spider-man. This movie takes Peter back to high school for the third time, there is heavy use of CGI again, and The Vulture is no less ridiculous looking than robo-Rhino in ASM2.

Raimi's first two Spider-man films still look more real than this movie. Tobey Maguire should have been brought back. Spider-man and Spider-man 2 are better than every movie Marvel has produced since Iron Man. They did this whole reboot to keep from paying for an A-lister (like cutting out Edward Norton).

Then just watch it over and over again, don't bother about this reboot. Marvel ain't forcing you to watch this.

I thought the trailer was great. I really think Holland is on his way to becoming the definitive Spider-Man. And Keaton is going to be great as the Vulture. I really hope they don't kill him off as I want the classic Lee/Ditko line-up if and when they get to the Sinister Six. Its amazing to think that only two years ago, the idea of an MCU Spider-Man film was only a pipe dream.

Also not surprised that they pegged a July 2019 release for the sequel. I've suspected that Sony wanting the sequel by then is one of the reasons why Inhumans was moved off the film slate.
