Honestly, I'm tired of everything in the MCU being tied to the super-soldier serum; Howard Stark, The Winter Soldier, the Hulk, Captain America... it's kinda like how people are getting bugged with everything connecting to infinity stones. Venom would just be beating a dead super-serum horse.

Venom shouldnt be super serum. It should actually be parasite, now should it be alien parasite or created one in lab that's another thing. I can only see Green Goblin Formula tied to super-solider serum. And that's Norman developing his own formula (indepentley from Erskine's one and his research) as government contractor and Oscorp's competition on the market with Stark. And that's why formula is green and isnt blue like Erskine's one.

Venom definitely needs to be alien. It's good to change things up, and it's pretty rough to explain just how a sentient exosuit managed to get created in a lab.

Talking about super soldiers and such, here's some speculation:

Hopefully, with RDJ in Homecoming, they'll set up Norman as a business rival of Tony. Perhaps something is tied in with the Vulture and Falcon's tech, which eventually will lead to the glider.

Maybe Norman is working on something similar to the super soldier formula, but not only to make a strong body, but also a strong mind. Of course, Norman eventually tries it out on himself before all tests are done, and ends up going insane, creating the Goblin persona.

As for the symboite, keep it as a space entity. Infinity War is the perfect excuse for Pete obtaining the symboite. Then like in the comics when Pete goes to the Fantastic Four for more answers to his new suit, in the MCU he could go to the Avengers (Banner) or SHIELD (FitzSimmons) to learn the truth. Follow the comic in removing the symboite by SHIELD and contain it, but it escapes and bonds to Pete again, leading to the church and to Eddie becoming Venom. Once Pete defeats Venom and turns him into the authorities, the government/SHIELD still looking for a super soldier, creates Agent Venom.

Agreed. SM pretty much has to get the alien costume sometime during IW. As far as I am concerned, it HAS to happen.

C'mon, it's going to be Phase 4 till Peter may adquire the symbiote, the Four will be back by then .
But all jokes aside, if they do Venom, they should this, the original storyline with a few tweaks and retrofitted for today/the MCU.

this franchise will make me incredibly happy if we ...

1) have a functioning daily bugle with it's beloved characters

2) pull off the classic "face it tiger you just hit the jackpot" mj scene

3) shift to college years with more focus and a bit more adult storylines

4) have peter and his supporting cast hang out at the Coffee Bean

5) peter gets his black suit in Infinity War

6) gives us some form of a purple/green, green goblin

I want the Osborns and Dr. Connors to be introduced from the very first movie, they don't have to be important but they should be there to flesh out the universe without dumb hints that they'll be villains at some point. They can do that with other characters minor characters as well, that's why I liked Felicia Hardy's role in TASM2.

And tbh, I doubt them announcing more of the cast will have any affect on CW. I mean, we just got some casting news for BP.

Marvel just loves to spread news and give sprinkles here and there. That way they stay relevant whole year and fill time till next movie in MCU comes up. We are still seeing marketing for Civil War and actors on tv host shows. It will take week or two before things settle and they start announcing new stuff.

Exactly, there should be quite a few important Spidey characters that are in the series from the first movie even if they don't become important until later movies. Osborn and Connors are the main ones.

Also,in "Marvel's Captain America:Civil War-The Art of The Movie" book doesn't feature any Spider-Man concepts or alternate designs. He only appears in some art of the airport battle.
