It's posts like these why I hate the interwebs.
I'm sure she looks like that because the school MJ and Peter go to has a dress code.
Edit: Something very bad I take it.
there's not been one time fans have gotten upset over a racial change and been adamantly loud about it where the film has been all that successful... and no.. kingpin and perry white do not count those enraged over those 2 were minute compared to Micheal B Jordan
Wow yeah that guy is horrible
And Iron Fist and Misty Knight probably in 2017.
And in 2018:
In Black Panther.
And also, Barry and Iris, in Flash's movie.
The guy who didn't want Marvel Females to get action figures or lead roles
I love that the Mary Jane and Valkyrie casting upsets a certain group of fans. Those are the people that I don't give a damn what they think and I don't respect their opinions and don't give a damn about their feelings.
**** sexist ass Pelmutter.
Even if there is a dress code, can you tell me then why some girls who are very fashionable are still able to pull off a very basic dress code and manage to look trendy, whereas Zendaya in these pics seems deliberately frumpy?
Oh that *****ebag.
It's great lol the idea of Mary Jane who lives in Queens & looks like Zendaya is fine with me.
I am so happy that Captain Marvel and Black Panther are finally happening.
Ok now i know who he was talking about.
"I wish a racist and sexist *****ebag still had control over Marvel Studios so Mary Jane could be white!"
My problem isn't with race changes, but that the set pics and what we've heard of Zendaya's character doesn't strike me as MJ at all
The irony of all this is quite hysterical. Everyone thought a Marvel Studios Spider-Man film would have been this franchise's salvation, yet the fanbase is still just as miserable.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I'm honestly almost at the point of caring more about The Defender's love life than super hero antics
Daredevil - Claire & Elektra
Jessica Jones & Luke Cage
Luke Cage - Claire & Misty
Iron Fist - Claire & Misty
It's gonna get awkward when they all meet next year
I believe these exact words have been used in this thread before, but that's why character arcs are great.
And I'm not talking about the extreme purists. I don't care for that line of thinking but whatever, you think what you want. I'm talking about the group that has sinister reasons why they are purists. I don't respect those people.
"I love that the Mary Jane and Valkyrie casting upsets a certain group of fans. Those are the people that I don't give a damn what they think and I don't respect their opinions and don't give a damn about their feelings."
Then why comment?
Reminds me of ultimate MJ tbh but hey that's just me.
Who knows? Have to see the film.
Okay..? And? Do we just discredit their opinion because you don't like that they don't particularly care for a character as much as others may?
It's a funny time when directors/writers are once again having to try to fuel the flame of a thousand purists but it's expected, as per usual with these kind of things.
But MJ's character arc is going from a popular girl, party goer to someone who becomes more responsible. She's not a wallflower like Michelle has been described. She's also certainly not dry, MJ's more about having fun when Peter meets her.
