SPIDER-MAN: REIGN #2 (of 4)
Written by KAARE ANDREWS
Pencils and Cover by KAARE ANDREWS
A searing vision of Spider-Man’s future, brought to you by rising star Kaare Andrews (INCREDIBLE HULK).
They’re whispering about it on the streets. He’s back. Come down from the mountain like a righteous wraith of vengeance, dispensing rough justice and then swinging off into the night. For Mayor Waters, who rules over the Big Apple with an iron hand, this is a public relations nightmare -- and it’s got to be dealt with pronto. Luckily for him, he has a contingency plan for this type of situation -- and it’s sitting right there, in the Vault. Six hard men, with axes to grind. All Waters has got to do is wind them up and point them.

160 PGS./Rated A …$19.99
ISBN: 0-7851-2504-3
Trim size: standard
SPIDER-MAN: DEATH OF THE STACYS PREMIERE HC – VARIANT EDITION VOL. 4
Cover by JOHN ROMITA SR.
160 PGS./Rated A …$19.99
ISBN: 0-7851-2505-1

USM - WOW!! First of all, those arms are AWESOME! Secondly, OCK IS BACK!! And Thirdly....does this make Ock the "mastermind" behind all of this??

FNSM - Very cool cover! I'm loving the return of so many "old-skool" characters that we haven't seen in a while. Deb, Betty, Vulture...Marvel better be careful or I might start to think that Peter Parker has a supporting cast outside of May and MJ again! :D

SSM - Same as above! Rhino, Black Cat (to a lesser extent), and..PUMA! Wowwee!!

ASG - Ehh....LOVE Spider-Girl, but that cover seems...off. I think it's Mayday's head. Seems a little too round or something. I'm guessing they're paying tribute to Punisher's first appearance in ASM here? New villain seems a little too much like The Looter in the old Sensational Spidey arc. Hope he's mentioned in here, or it'll seem too much like a rip-off...

SM: Reign - Won't be picking this up but just had to say...MANNNNN that's awfully brutal for a cover, isn't it???

All in all...January's looking mighty niiiiice

Agreed, it doesn't look like a Ron Frenz head at all. Hopefully they tweak it before it ships

FNSM looks interesting, Vulture kicks ass.

..and would'nt you know it once the red and blues are back, Medina is not doing pencils in SSM arghhh!, stil atleast SM is back in his original threads.

As for Reign, not sure if it will be on my pull list, it depends what I think of #1.
It's not grabbing me right now.

USM, FNSM and Spider-Girl all look good. Ock looks very cool and I'm a long time fan of the Vulture. Spider-Girl is good, bad art asside. Well, at least Hobgoblin is appearing. Thats always good. :woot:

Love the cover to FNSM....i hope the Vulture is given some respect in this storyline...the last time i remember Toomes coming off as actually menacing was back in his arc in Webspinners...(although we got a reminder of how sly and clever he is by the end of the Identity Disc mini series from about two years ago...). Remember when he used to actually kick Peter's ass on occasion? Or how about when he broke Blackie Drago, the imposter-Vulture, out of prison, gave him a spare Vulture outfit, and proceeded to beat the living crap out of him over the skys of NYC, just to prove who the REAL Vulture was! :woot: Man, THAT'S the Adrian Toomes I want to see again!

Sensational looks good, but Cat's claws look some what....monsterous, dont they? Still can't wait to see her and Puma take Rhino on though...

Lookin' good!

wow!!!!, these comic-books are ganna be really cool, i love the one with spideyin black costume with sandman in it:up:.

and all covers have the ol' red and blues. ;)

Yea noticed that about the costume. Each one has the classic red and blue suit. Thank god.

Anyway USM looks freaking awesome. Can't wait. I wonder if that makes Doc Ock the mastermind behind everything? If so, great job at screwing that up Marvel. I don't think thats the case though.

SSM also looks good. Love how Felicia has been getting some time to shine lately by Marvel.

screwing it up? are you kidding me? best plotend ever. making ock the amstermind behind the clone saga is the most stunnign and brilliant move in ultimate history. its like bringing richard parker back to live or making jj not hate spider-ma... oh wait.. those two events happened too...

okay^^

By screwing it up, I think he meant giving away the spoiler of who's behind it by putting it on the cover to the comic.

The wave of Sandman stories are starting to come in thanks to Spider-Man 3, but still no sign of Venom. What do you know, I'm pleased about that :oldrazz:

Sweet, Doc Ock is back in Ultimate Spider-Man. I figured he was going to be in the storyline at some point and time, and it seems he's coming at the final part of the chapter, which makes it all the better now. :woot:

Spider-Man Reign actually does sound interesting, I'm going to have to check it out.

Hell yea! USM looks awesome. Can't wait to see how Ock escaped S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. That should be an incredible issue, that's for sure.

I'll be getting SSM, USM, Amazing Spider-Girl (despite the funky-looking cover), and I'll try out the first issue of Spider-Man: Reign. If it's good, I'll buy the second issue.

I would love to get the "Death of the Stacys" HC, but I'm not made of money.

The two Spidey books I buy (SSM and FNSM) still look pretty strong.

Even though, I probably still won't be buying it by January, I'd love to see the solicit for ASM.

Oh, and I think I'll be buying the Death of the Stacys HC. That looks awesome.

They are the same two books I buy.
I also read ASM in store.

About the Stacy's HC tho, I just think it's repackaged overkill.
There are all these collected editions of the death of Gwen etc, everybody has read em, but how many new fans actually know that much about Gwendy and what type of person she was?
How about a best of Gwen volume culled from ASM#33-93, that would be better.

The Essential Gwen Stacy volumes 1 & 2....

:woot:

These Spidey titles are sure going to be hard to stay away from. I might just pick up the Vulture story, and maybe Reign.
