Playstation Spider-Man: Miles Morales Coming to PS5

This game was a delight, got 100% earlier tonight. Insomniac just gets what makes Spidey tick and just tells stories that are some of the best you'll find with these characters in any medium.

What we can gather from Peter's calls to Miles postgame is he owns Aunt May's house now and is living there in Queens doing renovations, which makes me think Queens might be part of an expanded map for the sequel. We got Queens in Ultimate Spider-Man and that was the only game that's had Queens as part of the map so far. Peter being a homeowner is something we don't see very often lol, I think when May was "dead" in the late 90s Peter and MJ owned the house and took in MJ's aunt Anna. Miles says Peter's a good teacher and suggests maybe he get a job as a teacher, Peter at first says no but then says maybe. I think his new job in the sequel is gonna be a teacher, would love to see it.

 

I really like swinging around the city in both games but the unique swag and tricks Miles gets to do makes this game more fun to me also love the music.

 

Any sales numbers for Morales yet?

I'm curious about it's performance financially.

 

Just got the platinum trophy. Man, what a game. It improved upon all the mechanics of the first game that were already fantastic, especially the way tricks lead into swinging.

 

For those who have already played the game, does the new Peter look better than he does in the remaster? Because I saw one cutscene from MM (the oath) where it looked kinda okay, while in the Remaster it looks atrocious. Especially in the most dramatic scenes

 

Just finished MM. Amazing. The people at Insomniac GET Spiderman. This game and Spiderman PS4 are the best Spiderman “movies” ever made by far—and i say that as someone who’s very fond of the first two Raimi movies. These guys just fundamentally understand Spidey in a way we havent seen in any of these films.

 

I am at 90% right now have put about 22 hours into the game. I only did main missions on my first play threw doing a second play threw right now to try to get 100%. I know this is a shorter game and we knew that from day 1 and its also cheaper but I hope we get some free dlc even if its just like a 1 hour story and a few suits. Cant wait for spiderman 2 in 2022 most likely and also cant wait for ratchet and clank rift apart next year likely march I think. I love insomniac games.

 

after playing MM I love how populated the city is compared to Los Santos in GTA V and Liberty CIty in GTA IV. I really hope that whatever location GTA VI is set in will have that location as populated and alive as MM is.

 

LOVING Miles' game so far. Not loving Peter's face on the remaster

 

It's an easier pill to swallow in MM since Peter doesn't really play a big part in it. I assume it's also because they didn't have to copy and paste the new face over the old one for MM.

 

So far I saw this not sure about outside of the UK though.

Also, guys, we need to give serious props to John Paseano. Lowkey this guy is one of the best composers working today. His work on Daredevil was fantastic and so has his work on these two games. He gives Miles and Peter their own distinct musical identities but both feel so incredibly heroic and epic.

Wow. I cant imagine being so stuck-up as to deny the use of a landmark in a Spider-Man game. Chrysler building is my favorite skyscraper too. Bummer.

 

Wow, how blind am I to not notice that the Chrysler Building wasn’t in MM even after completing it 100%? Hopefully they can get it back for Spider-Man 2 or if they get the rights back sooner they can put it back in a patch because that’s just bizarre.

 

Finished the main story and everything except the last 2 side missions. Great game. I liked PS4 Spider-Man more overall, but still awesome none the less. I do wish we had a couple more boss fights, and I do feel the venom attacks made the game much easier than PS4 Spider-Man. I died maybe a handful of times the entire game.

 

Just started this game. Loving the holidays setting and the venom attacks already.

 

I am obsessed with Paseano’s score. He so f***ing nailed it man.

 

Nearing the end of the first game, though have the DLC to complete also, is it better to go straight into this or have a little rest in between.

 

Caved and got this and so far it’s... fine?

Pros: I like the way Miles swings. The mechanics feel different from Peter’s. It’s more uncontrolled, and lacking finesse, which it should be. The venom attack is a nice addition, and the bar fills rather quickly. The holiday setting is also a nice change.

Cons: So. Many. Cinematics. I just want to be Spider-man and swing around and fight bad guys. I don’t need to see three 5 minute cut scenes in a row. The side missions using Ganke’s app are also kind of boring and repetitive. There needs to be more action and challenges where Miles can really let loose.

Like I said, it’s not bad. If you liked the first one, this will keep you entertained. But hopefully the real sequel offers new ground. And definitely no more chasing pigeons.

 

I loved this, but it does kind of feel like a glorified DLC rather than a full game, kind of like if Blood and Wine had been released as Witcher 4 instead of as DLC for Witcher 3.

Wait until you get to Screwball again...
