I know this sounds trivial now but the guy has had the same haircut since the 60’s time for a change don’t you think

No... maybe he should gorw a mustache... or a beard or maybe a goatee... as long as it isn't something radical like a mohawk or shaving his head... whatever...

Doesn't he have a beard in Spider-Girl? Looks good too...if it is indeed the Spider-Girl comic I'm thinking of! lol

He hasnt had the same haircut at all. Its been fairly long, he's had a little quiff at the front, its been messy. They've done everything they can do with (fairly) short brown hair. jeez, dude, wtf do you want from spider-man?? He is NOT growing a ponytail.
anyway, someone get a scanner and show this guy the different does he's had.

Did spidey ever had a mullet?
Yes, I believe he's had somewhat of one before. Especially in the cartoon.

JRJR always used to draw him on edge of the mullet. but that was 90s. imagine what it looked like in the 80s... :o

A thread about Spider-Man's hair.

Wonders never cease around here :p

What are you talking about? Pete's hairstyle has consistently changed according to the times he was being written within.

Yep. I mean he had freakin' long hair in the '80s, not longish, but LONG. He even had a different hair cut when Romita Sr. took over (they called it "growing it out for MJ" if I recall).

Just look at how JRjr drew his hair it was very distinct and wavy/spky a little bit. **** look at the three or four main artists on Spidey titles now they all draw his hair distinctively different. Dedato (who I don't like for the record) draws the regular short brown hair cut and square jaw, then you have Marvel Knights Spidey having spikey hair, in Frindely it is long with bangs, etc. etc.

It depends on the artist and era really.

It hasn't been exactly the same through the years. There's been slight variations.

Good grief... I saw this thread and was HOPING it would get ignored as being too stupid to dignify with an answer. Of course Peter's hair has been drawn differently over the years, and currently even the hair color is changing... going lighter. Hate it actually. :(

Wieringo constantly gives him a mullet.

Ringo draws the best "do" on Peter... IMO. I wouldn't call it a mullet at all.

Love Pete's hair here...

 Don't remind me! That was just ONE of the things that ruined that ill-conceived story for me. I really HATED Peter's "bald" look! Double-yuck!!!!

(Now Scofield on Prison Break... he's one of the few I've seen who makes a buzz look good...:))

No way Cap, Pete's got a mullet there. Granted it looks pretty decent and managed, but it still follows the "business in the front, party in the back" philosophy

Bendis seems to like bald characters.

Actually his hairstyle has changed many times since the 60's.
Back then his hair was kinda all combed back in a neat short style, since then he has worn his hair slightly longer and in varied styles see McFarlane vs Dodson’s.

I must disagree. A classic mullet is the achy-breaky style of short on top and long in back. Period. Having hair layered on the sides, and growing over the collar, does not equal a mullet.

BUT, I realize now that there are misconceptions out there. I found out - when I went looking for a picture of one - that some people (who were obviously scared by a mullet as a child...) see a mullet in practically EVERY hair style that is not a buzz cut! Too funny.

These people obviously weren't around for the layered/shaggy long hair look of the 70s... they just seem to believe that the mullet has "mutated." For them, if it's below your collar and styled in ANY way - it's some form of "mullet."

Whatever. Crazy kids. I don't care what it's currently being called, I like hair longish on men.

Really, even in the main series? I though he looked pretty cool and even made him look younger. he had a line in the front and a earing. I wanted my hair like that.:( :o

Different people, different preferences. Please someone close this thread. Please.

McFarlane drew him mullettish...

But Larson went full on with the David Hasslehoff look for Peter.. I never thought much of it, shock horror
