World Spider-Man Night of the GOBLIN

never even heard of it, would be interesting to see...ill keep an eye out for you

Wow. I realize that it was made for just $500, but where did the other $495 go?

That was horrid, even factoring in the budget.

I thought it was decent. Its hard to do a character that has Spidey's powers, even Superman is easier

for 1992, i think its actually quite good, but for todays standards in fanfilm making its below par. But Mr. Poole has gotten alot better over the years.

The Spider-Man costume was so bad that it pretty much ruined everything else. I understand they had no budget but it had a flat head for cripes sake. The guy playing Peter looked like a GQ type and not Peter. Even if I can overlook the terrible costumes and effects, I can't overlook the dialogue . It was the dialogue made it a joke. They didn't need a budget to write dialoge. It didn't help that the acting was so bad that it actually hurt to listen to it. The girl who played 'Gwen' was laughable for so many reasons.

Who walks into a room and says "Harry, Harry my son"?

Spider-Man was played by dan Poole. If you go one his site you'll see his passion for Spidey, sure he's an arrogant and close minded **** but he was passionate.

I lol'ed at the "My son" bit as well but he took some dialouge from the oringial story that made up for it.

I doesn't hold up compared to Batman: Dead End but that had a budget of 30 grand. i'm a film student and I know how hard making a film on a small budget is, the guy did a decent job.

I was a film student as well so I see what your saying. I agree the action and some of the general stuff that was shot was sort of decent. However, for me, I can't overlook the suit, the terrible dialogue and horrible acting, especially by 'Gwen'. He must have known how terrible she was, and combining terrible dialogue with horrid acting is like nails on a chalkboard.

There were a couple of good shots. One off the top of my head was the long shot of Spidey climbing on the building. With a film like this, he could have gotten away with it being more cartoony, more like the Batman show from the 60's. The problem is it's played too seriously. If he had played it more with a sense of humor, it might have been intentionally funny, instead of laugh out loud unintentially funny.
