Wasn't Garfield filming another movie in Atlanta or I'm mistaken?
Also, the delivery guy that Garfield was rude? Lol Is every past Spider-Man actor being described as a rude person now?

I can imagine what will Holland turn into when he is done playing Spider-Man. Probably go robe some banks.:o

Maybe Garfield was "rude" because he didn't make small talk with the Door Dash guy, due to social distancing?

I always take "so and so celebrity was rude to me" stories with a grain of salt. Sometimes they're true, but sometimes the one telling the story was being rude or intrusive, or the person was just busy (ya know, like an actor often is) and couldn't stop and talk for twenty minutes like some fans want.

If Garfield has been spotted in atlanta it's only a matter of time before Tobey is!

Unfortunately there's a lot of accounts of Tobey Maguire's bad behavior. Meanwhile Tom Holland is pretty much unanimously described as a super nice and down to earth guy whom no one's had a bad word to say about. I have no idea what kind of reputation Andrew Garfield supposedly has.

But I always take random people's "such and such celebrity was mean to me" stories with a grain of salt.

Is it far-fetched to assume that they're keeping Tobey Maguire more in the dark in comparison to Andrew Garfield? While I do love Garfield's Spidey still, the Maguire reveal I think would get a bigger reaction and Feige/Sony might be aware of this.

Absolutely. Garfield is a bit like Jared Leto's Forgotten Joker sandwiched in between Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix in the public consciousness.

I'm betting SHH's server will absolutely crash once official news breaks out that they're in the movie. :funny:

Maguires is far far more iconic. Garfield has his fans, but Maguires has a legacy that heavily impacted the genre today.

Also, celebrities are not obligated to be friendly towards fans. Some of them are just not comfortable interacting with with people that, let's be honest, are complete strangers to them. They have a right to boundaries. For example, Björk is my favorite musician of all time, and she never signs autographs or takes selfies with fans. She just likes her privacy, and that's her right.

I agree, but when they don't they're labeled as rude or arrogant.

I ain't sure where you get that assumption from. there has been absolutely nothing to suggest they are keeping Toby more quiet than Andrew. And anything we hear about Andrew is coming from outside sources clueing things together.

They ain't keeping Toby in a box and only letting him out for filming so nobody finds out.

Again, you're taking what I say too literally and seriously. It's just a thought that popped into my head, nowhere did I indicate that I thought it was what they're actually doing.

Do you guys think there'll be references in the score to the themes from the previous series? I would cry if the Raimi Spidey score pops up. I'd also want Ock's original leitmotif from SM2, it's so badass.

There might be the odd music cue or some small beats here and there, but i doubt anymore than that. this is Hollands Spider-man movie. and whoever is doing the music for the film is obviously making music for Hollands Spider-mans story first annd formost . and since Doc Ock might be different. might not be worth connecting music cues for that.

I could see Michael Giacchino totally being up for using the Danny Elfman motif. Not exactly sure whether he'd use James Horner's TASM theme or Hans Zimmer's.

If they take from Danny Elfman, then they will also do something similar with TASM music. the point of doing that type of thing is to connect it with whats on screen.

Oh my god, we get it. You don't have to keep bringing this up in half of your posts here, people aren't stupid to lack awareness of this still being Tom Holland's movie. Using the motifs doesn't automatically mean we want the music to play throughout the entire movie and hijack Giacchino's Spider-Man score.

I love James Horner, but I was not a fan of his TASM score, especially during the basketball scene. Hans Zimmer's was slightly better, but I hated the overuse of dubstep during the Electro scenes. Giacchino's is pretty great but nothing can beat Elfman's.

Not using the Elfman theme for when Tobey shows up would be blasphemy. At the least Giacchino could do his own cover of it which I'm sure would be great.

Lol this is funny. DoorDash delivering the scoops.

The closest i think would happen is very similar to what Elfman did with Justice League. different song, similar music beat pops up. not overblown, but that part of the track can be used at certain times if needed. then they can also have on sound track album.

I think it'll definitely be in there, if only for one scene.

Should they use the original themes for Doc Ock and Electro or come up with new ones?

While I do like Elfman's Ock theme, I'm honestly indifferent. Electro's theme could totally be redone. As long as both are good, I'm game either way.
