So if
it's true that Dafoe is returning as Green Goblin, should they stick with the original design, or should they totally revamp the look?

I haven't watched the newest Wandavision episode yet but I hear
I hear there's discussion that nobody can bring people back from the dead, discussing Pietro and where Foxverse Quicksilver comes in at the end. Going by this logic wouldn't that mean the versions of dead past cinematic Spidey villains can't be the exact same versions? Now I'm getting all confused thinking about how it all shakes out. Again, they could literally just be the exact same versions but also one of the rumors suggested they'd have new looks, and Jamie Foxx literally said he wouldn't be blue so I'm leaning towards alternate versions of the villains and not the ones from the movies we've seen.

The new-look rumor was from DanielRPK, so make of that what you will.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions regarding Dafoe's alleged involvement in this. It could just be for a mid or post-credits cameo. Or he might not be in it at all.

The new WandaVision episode basically
indirectly confirmed that SM3 is gonna be a Spider-Verse film. I'm pumped.
Yep. We're just going to keep getting little nuggets like this until Wandavision's last episode when that will definitely be made clear. Either way, the hype is building oh so much. :D

Do people have to be "back from the dead" if they're from a different universe entirely? I know Norman and Ock died in the Raimi-verse they presumably come from, but I think there's wiggle room to play around there.

I hope the Spidey 3 tie-in happens soon.

Still feel Electro is the only one they can bring in from ASM 2 except altered/evolved in some way that could definitely work. Doc Ock is much more of a tricky pony to handle given that he's dead, but an alternate one could still work. *still sits praying for a live-action Master Planner Ock*

I'm still not expecting anything until the finale, and even then, like you said, it might be miniscule. I would love to be proven wrong though.

Electro died in the Webb-verse too. Maybe they're both the original versions, but are back from the dead due to whatever the outcome is from WV? Maybe entering the MCU changes their looks somehow? Jamie Foxx said Electro won't be blue, so it's not inconceivable that Doc Ock would look different too.

That... actually makes sense given what happened in Wandavision episode 4 with the change in attire and objects once someone entered the multiverse bubble.

It would actually be a real organic way to bring on their different looks.

Also, something of note regarding WandaVision:
As far as I know, there was never any real confirmation of Evan Peters appearing in the show...and he just did. I expect a similar situation regarding Maguire and Garfield in SM3.

There were apparently rumors going around beforehand that he'd be in it and allegedly leaks? With Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield it's a bit different since most fans are expecting them to appear in some form or another, just waiting for official confirmation basically.

Yeah, the situation is a bit different, but the principle is basically the same. Collider reported the returns of Maguire, Garfield, and Dunst, and as far as I know, they're pretty reliable. There wasn't as much evidence supporting the Evan Peters rumors.

Personally, I think the villains will be different versions while the Spider-Men will be the same. Which will also show then as equelly as confused as Holland when they realize that the villains they thought were dead aren't.

Maybe Doc Ock and Electro's teamup will be similar to Venom and Sandman's in the original SM3. One of them is the mastermind of the plan, the other is the muscle.

Yeah, I think it could be interesting if the villains are different versions from parallel worlds to the movies we saw where the villain won in each of em maybe. That could make for an interesting dynamic both for the Spideys and for the villains, plus it opens up to many different worlds than just the 2 from the movies we've seen.

That would be fun, kinda like their relationship in The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. Electro looks up to him and thinks the world of him thinking Ock can help him and Ock uses him as a faithful lackey but in a way where he actually kinda respects him and all the people he works with even though he's the smartest in the room, always addressing him cordially "Maxwell."

And, in the event that the MCU Electro is a redesigned and hopefully improved version of the TASM2 one, Ock being a "friend" to him will get Electro to do whatever he wants.

Eh. We barely know anything about this movie, so there's a 50/50 chance Dafoe could be in this.

If he is I doubt they'll do more than have it be a cameo. From Molina and Jamie actualpy being the only two villains credited in the cast from different universes.

Im assuming theyll be the main representatives of the villains from the Webb and Raimi-verse. With other villains popping up via quick background or flashback cameos.

Im excited to see Molina's new angle tbh. The fact that it stuck with Zendeya enough for her to unintentionally "spoil" it is exciting.

It means it was a memorable moment even if brief.

But that hasn't been confirmed! they have not been credited in that way.

I don't think any of them will have huge roles. i don't think cameo is the right word either. but it will probably be something in the middle. its like looking at Spider-man in civil war and saying he can only have a huge role or a cameo, which is it!!!... while he more or less had a bit part in it.
