Yeah, and considering that FAR FROM HOME is in the period where that happened it makes sense. And that's why Fury and Hill bough Mysterio's story about the multiverse.

Well the thing is. lets say J. Jonah Jameson is from the multiverse. there is nothing 100% to say thats the case. but timing-wise it would be abit of a coincidence. J. Jonah Jameson just seems to be apart of it. no one is questioning his place or existence and neither is he. so it wouldn't be anything to deal with if no one is aware anything is different. apart from the audience who recognise these people.

A few things...

- If Tom is telling the truth (which I doubt) and Toby/Andrew aren’t in the movie it would be such a massive disappointment for me. I’ve been swept up in the hype train for them returning. I’ve just grown a bit exhausted with the direction of the MCU Spider-Man. I’m one of the few that believe the MCU version of the character is one of the weaker mainstream interpretations of the character. It’s not a dig on Tom because he does a fantastic job with the material he’s given ....I’ve just grown tired of this depiction of him. To me and I will probably always been in the minority here because of all the hype surrounding the MCU, Toby and Andrew versions are much better depictions of the character I grew up reading. So needless to say, I obviously really want them back.

- The CGI is concerning to me. Looking back at the action sequences from TSAM it’s like night and day when compared to the MCU Spiderman. The TASM movies perfectly balance the amount of time there’s a real actor in the suit and cgi. The Tobey movies did a good Job with that balance as well. In the MCU universe for Spider-Man it’s just such an overload of CGI at times for the most simple actions such as talking. It just completely destroys the immersion factor..I’m hoping that if all of the “Spider-Men”are on screen that team behind the CGI can step up their game and also not be so reliant on it at the same time.

Like I said earlier in this thread, that's giving an unnecessary explanation to something no one even questioned. We understand that scene for what it is: they casted JK Simmons to play JJJ in the MCU. That's it. There's no reason to delve into some complicated explanation involving the multiverse.

I saw FFH with a group of friends (none of which read comics) and their take away from that scene was "Oh cool they are using the same actor from the old series to play JJJ in the new series"

If there's one thing I'm hoping is for Wandavision's finale likely giving a clearer answer on where this movie is headed.

Still not expecting anything, but if that ends up being the case, it should make everything around SM3 seem somewhat less vague.

From the four episodes I've seen already. Marvel has stepped their misdirection game up greatly.

We might actually go into this film knowing literally nothing.

Oh, you might want to see episode five pronto then. It might, and I do emphasize might, point towards a certain direction they're heading.

There's this user on reddit that has previously leaked info about Wandavision that has now been proven right so far that just said that by the time Wandavision is over, we will have a better idea on what to expect from SM3. Obviously take it with a grain of salt but with only 4 episodes left we'll see if they are correct.

Hmmm... you know if it's the same person who leaked that future Wandavision recap? I didn't watch it for obvious reasons, but if it came from them, then they're definitely someone to trust. But we should hopefully find out in the next month or so, yeah.

Not sure but I think so. This user wrote a recap of episodes 5 and 6 a few weeks back. The recap of 5 got proven correct when the episode aired and the recap of episode 6 got proven correct after those video clips leaked last week.

Obviously Tom is lying. And DanielRPK might just be trying to save his account from Marvel snipers by not outright confirming information.

Think about it. Dude HAS been right a couple of times. And then he puts out some bull**** so it looks like he's just saying nonsense. It keeps him out of their algorithm. It's smart.

Hmmm... in that case, I'm more inclined to trust them than not. I truly hope Wandavision does answer how much of the multiverse event will matter to SM3, though the two elephants in the room will remain a mystery for a long while still.

But its in the same film that could potentially... delve into the multiverse... in which case, it will either be a huge coincidence that actors are also being brought back but the actor playing JJJ doesn't count, Which id argue complicates things in itself. OR they are gonna explain it with not just him but several of them.

I saw FFH with a group of friends (none of which read comics) and their take away from that scene was "Oh cool they are using the same actor from the old series to play JJJ in the new series"

But that was then, this is now. no one knew they were gonna do a multiverse story to the levels it sounds like now. no one thought there was any chance that Marvel were gonna bring back Toby and Andrew potentially.

Might wanna spoiler tag that. many won't appreciate it posted.

@ernesth100 dude, spoiler tag that s*** for god's sake! Even if it somehow doesn't end up being true, there are folks here (me included) who are binging it week after week. ^^'

No, it's not. There are potential details there that I did not know about in the slightest (because I want to be as spoiler free of this show as possible, and I assume others on here watching WV want the same as well) that you might have just spoiled. For the love of god, at least have the courtesy to put it in spoiler tags.

I spoiler tagged it out of courtesy. But none of that stuff is jaw dropping.

Also I agree with GuestStarr. I'm sure the reason they'll reference the fact that JJJ looks the same in two or if they want to all three universes. Just a different version of JK Simmons. Lmao be honest guys, that'd be hilarious.

Lets see Raimi has classic JJJ.

Holland has a weathered and older JJJ.

We could have them use their deaging magic to give us young JJJ in Andrew's world. I mean it might not happen but its a fun thought.

*sees DanielRPK's name, cringes*

If Tobey Maguire is anywhere near this film, he wouldn't have signed on this late into production.

He deleted the tweet, but Brandon Davis a few minutes ago said he expects the major trades to make it official very soon. We'll see.

It's enough to give ya whiplash all the different things DanielRPK alone says about Tobey's involvement in this movie. He's in, he's not yet, he's in, he's not exactly signed on yet, he's being difficult on set but he's not signed on yet, he's on. Ok, maybe not exactly but it feels like whiplash lol.

If there's a teamup with the onscreen Spidey's I don't think they would be going through with it if they weren't confident they could get Tobey back on board for it to begin with.

If he and Andrew Garfield are truly in SM3, then maybe official confirmation will come once Wandavision ends. Which could verify that one Redditor scooper which Venom1998 spoke about.

Whatever happens, still choosing to remain skeptical for the sake of my fanboy heart.
