Brilliant

You know you‘re old, when you‘re as old as Norman Osbourne...

The film opens on a very familiar scene.

"Spider-Man's name is Peter Parker!"

Peter is horrified. Quentin Beck has just revealed his identity to the world in one final act of revenge. Peter swings quickly across the city, and he starts to get tons of calls and texts on his phone from family and friends. Peter arrives at the Sanctum Sanctorum--the home of Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme. Peter asks Strange for help and emphasizes how he is scared that his friends and family will now be in even more danger than ever now that his identity is out there.

Peter specifically wonders if Strange could use the Time Stone to help him in some way (this film and Far From Home would take place after Doctor Strange 2, placing that film within the eight month gap between Endgame and Far From Home. Strange recently obtained an alternate version of the Time Stone from another reality in a recent adventure across the multiverse.

Strange, despite telling Peter that messing with the timeline can have huge consequences, eventually realizes that helping him is the right thing to do, despite Peter's selfishness.

Strange uses the Time Stone to reverse time and erase Mysterio's video from the timeline as if it never existed. The events of Far From Home still happened, but Peter was never outed as Spider-Man or framed as a criminal. MJ, Ned, Happy, and May all still know that Peter is Spider-Man, but his identity is no longer public knowledge.

Now, Peter is living in a new timeline, and yet still remembers the events of the previous one. However, as Tony Stark once said:

"If you mess with time, it tends to mess back..."

Adrian Toomes, whose knowledge of Peter Parker's identity was erased during Strange's temporal manipulation as per Peter's request, has recently gotten out of jail after his sentence ended. However, now he is having visions of the past. Visions of a kid named Peter Parker...a kid with the powers of an arachnid. A kid who goes by the name "Spider-Man." Toomes begins to remember Peter's identity, and so does Shocker, and even Mac Gargan who was never told Peter's identity by Toomes is having visions of the high schooler as Spider-Man.

This is one of Peter's consequences for his selfish actions. However, the space-time continuum wasn't done with Peter yet. Now, through the temporal manipulation, new people, organizations, and events are appearing across the world that never existed before. This is how they introduce mutants, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four maybe the Baxter Building suddenly appears in the New York skyline and other future MCU events.

Meanwhile, Dimitri, a supposed member of the once great organization "SHIELD," is meeting with his half-brother Alexei. Dimitri knows Peter Parker's identity, as he was told who the kid was in Far from Home. He infiltrated SHIELD right underneath Talos' nose in order to gather intel for a job.

What is this job? Impersonate Spider-Man and use his abilities to steal from a high-tech company known as Oscorp which didn't exist prior to this film. Dimitri is an extremely intelligent engineer. He uses his skills to impersonate good people and frame them for crimes in order to get away with theft. He uses advanced cloaking tech that can obscure his face and make him look like anyone that he stole from SHIELD during his time there, as well as makeshift webshooters and a Spider-Man outfit, to pull of his heist.

Where does Alexei come in? Alexei Kravinoff is a world-class hunter. He has hunted and killed some of the most dangerous animals on Earth, but it wasn't enough. Now, he works as a gun for hire, and uses interesting techniques that he learned during his time in Africa to easily track and kill his human prey. Kravinoff or as he is known "Kraven the Hunter" by much of the criminal underworld has been living in Wakanda since the country first opened its borders to the rest of the world, and has been taking advantage of the country's extremely advanced technology to craft weapons in order to hunt and kill his prey.

Together, Dimitri and Kravinoff will capture Spider-Man and use his identity to frame him for the theft of Oscorp tech and funds, but they need a team...

Vulture, Mac Gargan (the Scorpion), Shocker, the remnants of Mysterio's team, Dimitri, and Kraven will serve as the antagonists of the film. Dubbed "the Sinister Six" by a newly confident Adrian Toomes, they decide to work together to capture and kill Spider-Man and also pull off the Oscorp heist. All of these villains now know Peter's identity through the temporal anomalies that began rippling across the universe since Strange's time manipulation.

Vulture--Adrian Toomes rebuilds his vulture suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming, but makes a few upgrades.

Scorpion--Phineas Mason crafts Mac a one-of-a-kind scorpion suit using stolen Stark technology and Chitauri energy cores.

Shocker--Pretty much the same as before, except now his "shockers" do a lot more damage and he has a hand-crafted electro-proof suit.

Mysterio--Mysterio's crew intend on carrying on their boss's legacy. They still having access to the Stark Industry holographic drones, and built an advanced android modeled after Mysterio's suit that plays both pre-recorded messages of Quentin Beck's voice as well as record and play altered clips of William's voice, who is in control of the android.

Dimitri--Using his stolen face-masking tech and hand-crafted replicas of Spider-Man's tech.

Kraven--Using stolen Wakanda tech and his skilled tracking abilities and agility.

The theme of the film would be that you may not want to always be like your heroes. Ever since Peter formed a relationship with Tony Stark, he started to take after him and adopt his personality bit by bit. After his identity went public, Peter demanded that Strange help him in a selfish decision that had major repercussions for the entire universe and time itself. He started to realize that he's turning into Tony, even in the worst ways. The final battle of the film has Peter battling the Sinister Six on the top of Oscorp Tower. We never see Norman or Harry in this film however before Toomes realizes that Peter once saved his life and looks out for the little guy, prompting him to betray the Six and help Peter battle all of them, inevitably sacrificing himself to stop Scorpion.

However, even with the Six defeated and their planned heist foiled, Peter is still living in a different reality than the one he used to call home. Everything is different, and this sets up the future of the MCU with a new timeline that now includes the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and maybe even the Sony Spider-Verse characters. Now, Peter can cross over into the Spider-Verse without it feeling forced or out of place. Temporal manipulation threw them into the MCU quite literally.

In the film's final scene, Peter decides to voluntarily reveal his identity to the world after realizing that not doing so would be selfish and hold great consequences for the space-time continuum.

Production has been delayed, not that that should surprise anyone.

if this means, the theatrical release could be delayed for a few weeks, then expect it to be pushed back for summer 2022 (I know, there is already a MCU release in July, but the whole shedule might be switched now) - Sony won‘t give up the holy July-slot

Post credits scene idea

The news announces that Norman Osborn has won the NYC mayoral election. Peter arrives at his dorm at ESU and meets his roommate Harry Osborn, setting up a college trilogy.

I don't see it being delayed a whole year. Especially now that Captain Marvel 2 is coming in July of 2022. It will prob be a few weeks/months delayed.

I think it'll still make its release date. Homecoming and Far From Home both had a quick turnaround and I dont think production was supposed to be delayed for that long if I remember the report correctly.

If they could start filming between July to September then maybe.

But isn't Tom Holland supposed to film Uncharted first? And that film has been moved to October...

Depends when that shoot happens. They may have him do Spider-Man first now.

If we don't have a vaccine for 12-18 months and our only real card to play in the meantime is social distancing and lockdowns, then things like productions of big movies like Spider-Man that film in various international locations and assemble thousands of people that work on them might not get going any time soon, not even as soon as the few months that they're hoping for.

I’m still pining for Kraven as the main villain, and hope that Sony isn’t keeping him off the table so they can save him for a solo film in their universe films.

My vision for a MCU Spider-Man 3 would be Peter struggling with his new normal as as (semi) outed superhero. Peter’s got friends in high places—some with magical tricks up their sleeves like Doctor Strange. Others, with pay checks (like Pepper Potts by way of Happy Hogan) to give for top legal help.

Enter Matt Murdock, Peter Parker’s new lawyer. We are quickly introduced to his alter-ego Daredevil, as he fights the underworld looking for answers after the Scorpion strikes against Peter & Aunt May in public.

Peter’s forced to keep a low profile & move into one of Tony’s old penthouses, but MJ & the gang are part of Horizon Labs’ young geniuses program, headed by Max Modell & his partner Martin Li.

Martin Li (Negative Man) would serve as as the film’s background antagonist, putting a ransom out for Spider-Man that attracts the likes of all classes of criminal from Kraven to the Prowler.

Use this movie to flesh out Peter’s backstory. When May’s life is put in jeopardy, it stirs memories of Uncle Ben and we’re introduced to him and Peter’s relationship via flashbacks (no need for ‘great power great responsibility’ retread, though).

Like the comics, Kraven will hunt & ‘kill’ Spider-Man before publicly replacing him and announcing it on DailyBugle.net.

In the end, it’d be revealed that the villains’ strings are being pulled by Senator Norman Osborn. (He’s been aware of, and tracking, Peter since a spider bit him in an OsCorp lab).

In the end, Murdock & Nelson are able to have enough evidence dismissed & cloud judgment, especially given Kraven’s own public admitting to donning the Spider-Man mask, to have Peter’s name cleared & DailyPlanet.net pay damages.

I cant see them starting to film in July or August. Even if theaters are open by then. Filming an entire film, which I'm assuming is going to be filmed outside America like Europe or Australia is going to need a lot of manpower and cast/crew members come from different countries. its going to be difficult setting things up especially if social distancing are still implemented and who knows, if production won't be suspended. Maybe they could still release it next year but I doubt it would be in July.

As for the title:
Spider-Man: No More Home sounds dramatic and chilling especially if Spidey's on the run.

Venom 2 just got delayed to June 25th, 2021. I think it's safe to say Spider-Man 3 is moving to 2022. Sony wouldn't open two big comic book movies 3 weeks apart.

I also think, that 2 years apart was always too soon, since you have franchises like Doctor Strange and Black Panther with 4-5 years between the sequels.
Also, between Guardians Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 there would‘ve been 3 MCU-Spiderman-movies (almost 4) if Guardians Vol. 3 happen in 2023.

Spider-Man is definitely moving. But I don't think moving to 2022 is a guarantee. I can see them slotting it for Christmas like Jumanji.

Spider-Man is a unique situation though. If Sony were not involved, sequels would maybe take longer. I don't know how long Sony is going to want to sit on this movie.

Yes I know, but, as much as I enjoyed FFH, it would‘ve been nice if Marvel Studios could‘ve put more ressources into a sequel of Doctor Strange.

Kimmel asked Holland last night if he was still supposed to film Spider-Man 3 in July and he basically said that’s all up in the air. He also didn’t know what order filming that and Uncharted would go in.

I highly doubt it starts filming on time though.

I assume this is to accommodate Sony's other movie, but it seems weird for Marvel to essentially give up July entirely.

It's mainly because they don't know when they can start production. We're going to see a lot of films that were supposed to start soon get major release delays due to the production shutdown.
