I mean the action sequences in the Watts films aren't exactly top-tier, but they're much, MUCH better than the ones in the Webb films. The school fight between Spidey and Lizard was laughably bad.

I loved that they played the song on set as they were shooting it, though:funny:

I remember the reaction when that first leaked on the forums back in 2006. People were equally flabbergasted and laughing hysterically.

Hmmm, to each his own but To Webb's credit I felt the climax of ASM2--both his fight with Electro and with Green Goblin trumps anything we've seen in the Watts films thus far.

The only action scene in either film I like is the first fight with Electro in Times Square. The Green Goblin fight is a cut-heavy mess.

I feel like that was one of the better fight scenes of the series. The way Peter moves more similar to a spider in the film. Crawling around the walls and on Lizards body.

Sidenote: Anyone else notice despite its hate. Ultimate Spider-Man got two things right.

Peter being a massive Stark fanboy. And his multfunctioning high tech webshooters. I'd even argue it unintentionally predicted Spider-Verse in the third movie. As the shows Spider-Verse is in its third season.

The awful new Spider-Man show makes USM look like SSM

Side note: If this Ock is indeed a new version and gets a new look, I hope they don't put him in tights or body armor, he looks so awkward in those. I much prefer him in a labcoat or business suit.

I've said it before but my favorite look is the 90s white armani suit, Molina Ock wearing that would be incredible. Imagine him just standing there nonchalantly while you've got a tangled mess of tentacles whipping all over the place while 3 Spidey's are hopping around them like an Erik Larsen page.

My best guess for the Sinister Six will be...

Doc Ock (Molina)
Electro (Foxx)
Mysterio (Gyllenhaal)
Vulture (Keaton)
Sandman (Hayden Church)
Scorpion (Mando)

I feel like if you brought back Thomas Haden Church as Sandman back, you'd kinda have to give him a subplot that properly resolves his incomplete story in Spider-Man 3, which I don't think will happen.

For as many problems I have with USM, at the very least it had life and energy to it. The 2017 show... is just so bland and forgettable which is the absolute worst thing a Spider-Man animated series should be.

The villain designs are even worse, Vulture especially, with those dinky, dragonfly-ass wings.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but is the Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock rumour confirmed-but not really-confirmed, or is it just a completely baseless rumour at this point?

I really *really* hope they bring him into the MCU.

I wouldn't say it's a baseless rumor, there's been reports by some with credibility but not confirmed at this point.

Someone was telling me that he was seen on set or something? I honestly have not really been following the production of this film, so I’m out of the loop besides the officially announced castings

If they're gonna bring back more already used villains there's some that need some minor tweaking, e.g. Shocker having his comics-accurate costume and powerset. There's other ones that need to be totally revamped and recast though, like Lizard and Rhino, who were really poorly done.

I hope they never reference it in the comics. USM is technically officially Marvel thanks to the Spider-Verse comics. Atleast USM had some good scenes and didnt try to squeeze years of Spidey lore into a few episodes. GOD that new show sucks bad.

Insomniac nailed Spidey and his world in a way that none of the live action films have. The Peter in that game felt like the one I grew up with.

PS4 Spider-Man and Into the Spider-Verse are Spidey at his absolute best.
This to the max. I love a fully skilled Peter/Spider-Man. Like PS4, or ItSV. They always seem kind of unbeatable.

But I also appreciate a good build up for Peter's skill where he gets better as he goes forth. Spectacular and USM were great at showing us sometimes Peter needs to outthink his villains instead of just beating them with pure skill like Peter B. Parker or PS4 Peter.

Dude how was Peter even supposed to fight Rhino? I dont think any incarnation has ever had missile launchers and machine guns ontop of a massive armor.

That sewer plate looks like it wouldn't have done much tbh.

But ... Doctor Strange 2 is filming since like Homecoming 3 begun filming. :|
Well, it would most likely be a cameo, but come on. I'm sure Sony/Marvel made Tobey and Andrew with a contract that specifically says if and when/where they will show up again.
If he or they are in the movie, I think it would be a done deal by now and not just "in talks".

DanielRPK says a lot of things, and a lot of times they don't pan out. It could be true, but I don't put any stock in that guy.
Its why I'm hesitant to believe it lol but I also don't think it's too far fetched.

The Holland podcast is supposed to drop anytime. Was said to be 9 AM but could be noon now.

This. Though I absolutely adore the idea, so a part of me hopes it's true. Still remaining skeptical for the most part though.
